This move, made by Cimex Nepal, the authorized distributor of BYD electric vehicles in Nepal, comes in response to the increased customs duties following the new electric vehicle tax policies for the fiscal year of 2081/82 in Nepal. The BYD Seal electric sedan was launched in Nepal at the beginning of 2024. The price of the BYD Seal in Nepal ranges from NRs. 1.10 Crore to NRs. 1.95 Crore. Additionally, it is offered in three variants: Dynamic, Premium, and Performance.

The new prices for the BYD Seal in Nepal are NRs. 1.10 Crore for the Dynamic variant, NRs. 1.39 Crore for the Premium variant, and NRs. 1.95 Crore for the Performance variant.
