Bajaj Auto gears up to unveil its much-anticipated electric offering, the Bajaj Chetak Electric Scooter in Nepal at the prestigious NADA Auto Show 2024. Hansraj Hulaschand and Co, the authorized distributor of Bajaj Auto in Nepal, is set to reveal the eagerly awaited Chetak electric scooter lineup at the upcoming NADA Auto Show 2024. Since its launch in January 2020, Bajaj Auto has successfully delivered more than 100,000 units of the Chetak electric scooter across India. It holds a storied legacy in the hearts of riders worldwide, renowned for its reliability, style, and performance.
The Bajaj Chetak will be available in three variants – 2901, Urbane, and Premium - each offering different battery configurations. The entry-level 2901 model comes with a 2.88 kWh battery and provides a certified range of 123 km by ARAI. The Urbane version is equipped with a 2.9 kWh battery and provides an ARAI-certified range of 113 km, while the Premium variant features a 3.2 kWh battery, delivering a certified range of 126 km according to ARAI standards. It will take approximately 4 hours and 30 minutes to fully charge the Bajaj Chetak from 0 to 100 percent.
The Chetak Electric boasts a design that seamlessly merges classic elegance with modern sophistication. It comes equipped with all LED lighting, self-cancelling blinkers, left and right control switches, an electronic handle lock, and a seat opening switch. Chetak also now offers enhanced storage capacity. In the upgraded Chetak Premium, a standout addition is its state-of-the-art 5-inch TFT display. This advanced feature enhances user experience by allowing riders to easily check battery levels, view ride data, and locate nearby charging stations directly from the screen.
Buyers of the Chetak Premium model opting for the TecPac will benefit from additional functionalities. These include turn-by-turn navigation, music control on the screen, call alerts, a hill hold feature, reverse mode, and customizable display themes. Bajaj has included an 800W charger with the Premium variant, allowing the Chetak to achieve a 15.6 km range in just half an hour. Bajaj Auto has transformed the Chetak into more than just a mode of transport, turning it into a technologically advanced partner for contemporary riders.
The Bajaj Chetak price in Nepal is expected to be below NRs. 4.00 Lakhs. It will be available in three colour options - Indigo Blue, Brooklyn Black, and Hazelnut.
