The Zeekr X Electric Compact SUV is creating waves in the Nepalese automotive industry with its anticipated debut at the NADA Auto Show 2024. According to the latest report, Zeekr, the premium Chinese electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer owned by Geely, is poised to make its first appearance in Nepal at the upcoming NADA. This cutting-edge electric vehicle promises to redefine the compact SUV segment with its innovative design, advanced technology, and impressive performance capabilities. 

Zeekr currently has three models available internationally: the Zeekr 001 liftback, the Zeekr 009 MPV, and the newest addition, the Zeekr X hatchback. It remains to be seen which of these models will be introduced to the Nepalese market. The Zeekr X is designed on the SEA electric platform and is offered with both single-motor and dual-motor options in international markets. With a substantial electric range, it also addresses one of the key concerns for potential EV buyers - range anxiety.

The Zeekr X is equipped with a 200 kW permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM). The single-motor variant produces a maximum power of 200 kW and 343 Nm of torque, whereas the dual-motor version provides a total peak power of 315 kW and 543 Nm of torque. Both versions feature a 66 kWh battery pack, offering a WLTP range of 440 kilometres for the single-motor version and 420 kilometres for the dual-motor version. With a 7.2 kW AC charger, the Zeekr X takes about 10 hours for a full charge. For faster charging, it reaches 80% in just 30 minutes using a 150 kW DC charger.

The Zeekr X boasts a sleek, modern design with aerodynamic lines and a spacious interior. It boasts a range of advanced features, including LED headlights with dual-edged DRLs, LED taillamps, frameless doors with seamlessly integrated automatic door handles, an anti-UV and heat-resistant panoramic glass roof, an intelligent B-pillar information display, and numerous other enhancements. It features a 14.6-inch central screen that slides, an 8.8-inch digital instrument cluster, a premium 13-speaker Yamaha sound system, voice control, face recognition, and a wireless phone charger.

The Zeekr X Electric Compact SUV is making waves not only for its advanced technology and sleek design but also for its commitment to safety. It features comprehensive safety systems, including 7 airbags, radar devices, driver performance monitoring, cross-traffic alerts, traffic sign info, parking assistance, adjustable steering wheel, augmented reality HUD, powered driver seat, ventilated and massaging front seats, heated seats, and dual-zone AC. The suspension of the Zeekr X is managed by McPherson strut and five-link independent systems.  

The Zeekr X measures 4432 mm in length, 1836 mm in width, and 1566 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2750 mm. It offers a ground clearance of 175 mm with a kerb weight of 1855 kg. The vehicle provides 362 litres of boot space, which can be expanded to 1182 litres. Both the single and dual motor variants can reach a top speed of 190 km/h. The dual-motor AWD model accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.8 seconds, whereas the single-motor model does so in 5.6 seconds. 

The Zeekr X price in Nepal is expected between NRs. 1.5 Crores and NRs. 1.8 Crores. However, specific prices for both variants have yet to be announced. Its blend of innovative technology, impressive performance, and stylish design makes it a strong contender in the growing Nepalese EV market. The Avatr 11 and Zeekr X, two highly anticipated luxury electric crossovers, are poised to make their debut in Nepal, setting the stage for intense market competition.
