The Yamaha MT-15 Version 2.0 is all set to make its grand entry into the Nepalese market. As one of the most anticipated motorcycle launches, the MT-15 Version 2.0 promises a blend of performance, style, and cutting-edge technology. MAW Enterprises, the authorized distributor of Yamaha motorcycles in Nepal, is set to introduce the updated Yamaha MT-15 Version 2.0 to the market. According to recent reports, the official launch of the Yamaha MT-15 Version 2.0 is likely to take place at the upcoming NADA Auto Show 2024.
The Yamaha MT-15 2024 is powered by a 155cc single-cylinder, 4-stroke, 4-valve, liquid-cooled, SOHC FI, BS6 engine that generates a max power of 18.4PS at 10000 rpm and a max torque of 14.1Nm at 7500 rpm. The power remains the same, but torque has slightly improved from 13.9 Nm at 8500 rpm in the previous model to 14.1 Nm at 7500 rpm in the new version. This engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox with an assist & slipper clutch (ASC). The bike features a self-starter as the sole ignition method.
The Yamaha MT-15 features an aggressive and muscular design to enhance the riding experience. In terms of features, it boasts a Bi-Functional LED headlight paired with Twin-LED DRLs, a raised LED taillight, and LED indicators. It also includes Variable Valve Actuation (VVA), a DeltaBox frame, USD forks, a cast aluminium swingarm, and several other advanced components. It features a Digital Instrument Cluster that delivers essential information at a glance, such as the gear position indicator, fuel gauge, and more. Additionally, it includes Bluetooth connectivity for enhanced convenience and connectivity.
The MT-15 Version 2.0 maintains the "Dark Warrior of Japan" theme with its bold and eye-catching front design. The suspension of the Yamaha MT-15 Version 2.0 is managed by an upside-down front fork and a linked-type monocross system. Additionally, the golden front forks provide a premium touch, thanks to the new upside-down suspension system. Regarding safety, the Yamaha MT-15 Version 2.0 features dual disc brakes with dual-channel ABS and a traction control system. It also includes a quick shifter for smooth upshifts, a side-stand engine cut-off switch, and rear radial tyres.
The Yamaha MT-15 Version 2.0 measures 2015 mm in length, 800 mm in width, and 1070 mm in height. The wheelbase is 1325 mm, which is reduced by 10 mm compared to the previous model. The bike offers a ground clearance of 170 mm and has a kerb weight of 141 kg. The fuel tank has a capacity of 10 litres, and the anticipated mileage is approximately 45 kilometres per litre. The front tyre has dimensions of 100/80-17 and features a disc brake, while the rear tyre measures 140/70-R17 and also comes with a disc brake. The top speed of the Yamaha MT-15 Version 2.0 is 130 km/h.
The Yamaha MT 15 Version 2.0 price in Nepal is expected to be around NRs. 6.00 Lakhs. While the exact pricing is yet to be announced, the Yamaha MT-15 Version 2.0 is expected to be competitively priced.
