The latest buzz in the electric vehicle (EV) world is the imminent launch of the Zeekr X Electric Crossover SUV in Nepal. This state-of-the-art vehicle, set to make its debut in Nepal, promises to redefine the driving experience, combining cutting-edge technology, exceptional performance, and a sleek design. Sharda Group has been appointed as the official distributor for Zeekr vehicles in Nepal. Their first offering, the Zeekr X, is slated to debut at the NADA Auto Show 2024.

Zeekr, a premium electric car brand owned by Geely Automobile Holdings and founded in 2021, focuses on high-end EVs. The Zeekr X, their third model, is built on Geely's SEA2 platform, designed for B to D segment compact cars with up to a 2900 mm wheelbase. The Zeekr X will come in two variants: the cost-effective Long Range Rear Wheel Drive (RWD) and the high-performance Privilege All Wheel Drive (AWD). The Long Range RWD focuses on affordability and range, while the AWD, with its dual-motor setup, offers better performance at a higher price but with less range.

The Zeekr X Rear-Wheel-Drive (RWD) model is equipped with a 200 kW permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM), producing a maximum power of 271.9 PS and a maximum torque of 343 Nm. On the other hand, the Zeekr X All-Wheel-Drive (AWD) variant features dual PMSMs: 115 kW at the front and 200 kW at the rear, delivering a combined maximum power of 428 PS and a maximum torque of 543 Nm. Both variants are powered by a 69 kWh ternary lithium battery.

The Zeekr X sets a new standard with its impressive range capability, offering up to 440 kilometres on a single charge for the RWD variant, and up to 400 kilometres for the AWD variant. It offers efficient charging options tailored to fit diverse lifestyles and needs. Using a 7.2 kW AC charger, it takes approximately 10 hours for a full charge from 0% to 100%. For those seeking quicker top-ups, the Zeekr X can charge swiftly from 10% to 80% in just 30 minutes when connected to a 150 kW DC charger.

The Zeekr X isn't just another electric vehicle; it's a testament to forward-thinking design and cutting-edge technology. It boasts a range of advanced features, including LED headlights with dual-edged DRLs, LED taillamps, frameless doors with seamlessly integrated automatic door handles, an anti-UV and heat-resistant panoramic glass roof, an intelligent B-pillar information display, and numerous other enhancements. It features a 14.6-inch central screen that slides, an 8.8-inch digital instrument cluster, a premium 13-speaker Yamaha sound system, voice control, face recognition, and a wireless phone charger.

The Zeekr X is equipped with a host of innovative features designed to enhance safety. It features comprehensive safety systems, including 7 airbags, radar devices, driver performance monitoring, cross-traffic alerts, traffic sign info, parking assistance, adjustable steering wheel, augmented reality HUD, powered driver seat, ventilated and massaging front seats, heated seats, and dual-zone AC. The suspension of the Zeekr X is managed by McPherson strut and five-link independent systems.

The Zeekr X measures 4432 mm in length, 1836 mm in width, and 1566 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2750 mm. It offers 175 mm of ground clearance for the RWD version and 170 mm for the AWD version. The RWD variant weighs 1855 kg, while the AWD variant weighs 1960 kg. It also provides a boot space of 362 litres, expandable to 1182 litres. Both variants of the Zeekr X can reach a top speed of 190 km/h. The AWD version accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.8 seconds, while the RWD variant achieves it in 5.6 seconds.

The Zeekr X price in Nepal is expected between NRs. 1.5 Crores and NRs. 1.8 Crores. However, specific prices for both variants have yet to be announced. The distributors of Zeekr X aim to unveil the vehicle at the NADA Auto Show 2024. The Avatr 11 and Zeekr X, both eagerly awaited luxury electric crossover SUVs, are set to debut in Nepal, promising strong competition in the market. Stay tuned for more updates on the Zeekr X and get ready to experience the electric revolution firsthand.
