Toyota has officially launched the sub-compact Raize SUV in Nepal. United Traders Syndicate, the only official distributor of Toyota vehicles in Nepal,  has also opened the booking for new SUV Raize. Based on the DNGA platform, the Raize will be Toyota’s most affordable compact SUV in Nepal. The SUV is available in 4 variants, 11 color options, and a 2WD and 4WD option in the international market but we are still unaware which variant will make it to the Nepalese market. The new SUV’s price is expected to be around NRs 66 lakhs.

We expect Toyota Raize to be offered in the Petrol engine options in the Nepalese market. The Raize is powered by a 1.0-litre, three-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine. This 998cc engine is tuned to produce 98hp at 6,000rpm and 140Nm of torque at 2,400-4,000rpm and comes paired to a CVT automatic gearbox but Raize is available with Manual and CVT transmission depending on the variant. The engine also might come paired with a five-speed manual transmission.

The Raize is a 5 Seater SUV which comes with unique features, and modern technology. The car includes six airbags, traction control, and electric stability control, ABS with EBD, hill-start assists, lane keep assist, a blind spot monitoring system, adaptive automatic headlamps with a static bending function, front and rear parking sensors, autonomous braking, a 360-degree camera and rear cross-traffic alert for safety. It also includes a 9-inch floating touch screen with apple car play compatibility and Toyota's smart device link connectivity, and an all-digital 7-inch LED instrument cluster.

According to the company, The Toyota Raize is set to go on sale in the Nepalese market within December 2021. The vehicle is said to be launched in three variants including X, G, and Z, at the starting price of NRs 66 lakh. It will compete against the likes of Hyundai Venue, Mahindra XUV300, Tata Nexon, and Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza. Here are the complete specifications and features of the Toyota Raize SUV:
