Honda has recently unveiled its CB150X adventure motorbike. It has become the first 150cc adventure tourer from Honda. It is positioned beneath the CB200X, which was debuted a few months ago but yet to be launched in the Nepalese market. The new CB150X is based on a naked streetfighter which is more of a tourer bike with a semi-faired body upfront. As for its Nepal launch, we can see that happening in the future with the CB200X also in the lineup. The base variant of the motorcycle is available for RP 32 million (Indonesian Rupiah) which is around 2.67 lakh Nepalese Rupee but it will cost more than that in Nepal due to high tax.
The new Honda CB150X adventure bike is powered by a 149cc liquid-cooled, fuel-injected engine that is capable of producing 16.5bhp at 9,000rpm and 13.8Nm at 7,000rpm. This engine is mated to a six-speed constant-mesh gearbox. It rides on 17-inch alloy wheels that are suspended by 37mm upside-down forks at the front and a monshock at the rear. It comes with a decent ground clearance of 181mm and a seat height of 805mm. Braking duties are covered by a single disc brake at both ends complemented by ABS.
In terms of design and styling, the motorcycle comes with a host of new features including a long/extended front beak, a tall windscreen, a broad handlebar, and a single-piece seat. The CB150X also comes with a completely digital instrument panel with all of the necessary information displayed. The bike is equipped with a pulled-back handlebar and center-set footpegs which further blend with a muscular fuel tank. It also gets a sturdy-looking bash plate underneath to protect the engine components from damage.
According to the company, Honda CB150X styling is derived from Honda’s ‘X’ range of adventure tourers. There is a rumor regarding the launch of the adventure bike Honda CB150X in Nepal by the second half of 2022. However, its Nepal launch date isn't confirmed at the moment.
