Ola Electric Scooter is all set to make its debut in the Nepalese market. CG Motors, the authorized distributor of Ola scooters in Nepal, is set to introduce its first electric scooter S1 in Nepal. Ola is a global brand that began as a startup in Bangalore, India. Ola Electric has launched its electric scooters – S1 and S1 Pro across certain Asian countries for now. The e-scooters were first launched at a super competitive price of Rs 79 thousand in India. Ola S1 alongside Ola S1 Pro will debut at the NADA EV Show 2022.

Ola S1 is powered by the 8.5kW Ola Hyperdrive Motor that generates a peak power of 8.5kW and a peak torque of 58Nm. It also gets a 3kWh Hyperdrive Battery with 5 hours average charging time. The S1 has an impressive claimed range of 170km to 180km, these are likely to be ARAI numbers. It can achieve a top speed of 95 Kmph. Ola S1 gets the Disc brakes at both ends with a Combi Braking System as a standard braking unit. According to the company, it comes with Ola’s proprietary Battery Management System for optimal durability, and performance. 

The Ola Electric scooter S1 features a large TFT display, a unique LED Headlamp, Twin-LED setup with a circular DLR, LED side indicators, and LED tail light. It also includes a nifty split-type grab rail, flush side step, sculpted seat, hill-hold function, cruise control, voice assistant functions, and aluminum alloy wheels. S1 includes three modes: Eco, Normal, and Sport while the S1 Pro gets an additional riding mode called Hyper. S1 also gets a very spacious 36-liters of under-seat storage with 165mm of ground clearance.

Ola S1 price in Nepal is expected to be around NRs. 3 Lakhs to NRs. 3.50 Lakhs.  Ola S1 is available in 10 different colors: Gray, Red, Yellow, Pink, Black, Silver, White, Mint Blue, Matt Black, and Matt Blue. The new Ola S1 Electric Scooters will rival the likes of the upcoming Ather 450X, Bajaj Chetak Electric, and TVS iQube.
