TVS Motor Company has taken the Nepalese automotive industry by storm with its spectacular unveiling of the Ronin premium motorcycle at the NADA Auto Show 2023. Jagdamba Motors TVS, the exclusive authorized distributor of TVS Bikes in Nepal, introduced the Ronin 225 model at the ongoing NADA Auto Show 2023. It's important to note that the official launch of the Ronin 225 in the Nepalese market has not been confirmed as of now. When launched in Nepal, this groundbreaking masterpiece is set to redefine the standards of two-wheelers, merging cutting-edge technology with timeless design, and offering riders an experience like never before. It is also a TVS' first neo-retro-styled roadster with several retro-derived styling elements.
TVS Ronin 225 is powered by the new 225.9cc air and an oil-cooled BS6 engine that generates a maximum power of 20.1 bhp at 7,750 rpm and 19.93 Nm of peak torque at 3,750 rpm. This engine is mated to a 5-speed gearbox. The bike comes with a slipper clutch that ensures smooth and quick downshifts. Braking duties are covered by a 300mm disc up front and a 240 mm disc at the rear. The bike also features a dual-channel ABS. This motorcycle also offers two ABS settings - Urban mode and Rain mode. It is equipped with an advanced suspension system. It comes with a gold-coloured upside-down fork suspension at the front and a monoshock at the rear.
The Ronin is a perfect fusion of futuristic design elements and classic elegance. It gets a rounded fuel tank, side panels, and single-piece flat seat while the black finish to the engine, exhaust, and wheels. The rounded headlamp is all retro-inspired elements and the all-LED light is modern with a T-shaped DRL pattern. It also gets all-LED lights and a digital speedometer which is equipped with a TVS SmartXonnect system. The system offers several connected features when paired with a smartphone that displays incoming calls, SMS, email alerts, and turn-by-turn navigation. It is equipped with 9-spoke, 17-inch alloy wheels on both the front and rear, fitted with tubeless tires.
While the exact price of the Ronin 225 in Nepal has not been officially confirmed, it is anticipated to be higher than NRs. 5.00 Lakhs. It is available in three colours - matte black, matte silver, and matte red. With its futuristic design, state-of-the-art technology, and a focus on rider comfort and safety, the Ronin promises to redefine the way we experience motorcycles. Once launched in Nepal, It compete against the likes of the Bajaj Avenger, Dominar 250, and even the Royal Enfield 350 to an extent.
