Honda, renowned for its innovation and commitment to quality, has once again outdone itself with this latest addition to its Dio series. Syakar Trading Company, the authorized distributor of Honda motorcycles and scooters in Nepal, has officially launched the all-new Honda Dio 125 in Nepal. The Dio 125 will come in two different options - the Standard variant and the Deluxe variant. The Dio 125 joins Honda's 125cc scooter lineup as its third offering, following the Grazia and the Activa 125. It combines power, style, and functionality to offer an unbeatable riding experience when compared to its predecessor, the Dio 110. With its striking design, powerful engine, and advanced features, it's a scooter designed to cater to the unique needs of Nepali riders.
One of the most thrilling aspects of the Honda Dio 125 is its robust engine. It is Powered by a 123.92cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine with Honda's eSP (Enhanced Smart Power) technology that generates 8.25 bhp of power at 6,250rpm and 10.5 Nm of torque at 5000rpm. Based on the Activa 125 platform, this engine is renowned for its silky-smooth and polished performance, perfectly suited for both city commuting and brief journeys. Like all two-wheelers sold by Honda, the Dio 125 also features HET (Honda Eco Technology), ensuring optimal fuel efficiency and reduced emissions. The Dio 125 is equipped with CBS on both variants. However, while the standard variant gets drum brakes at both ends, the Deluxe variant gets a petal-type disc brake at the front and a drum brake for the rear.
The Dio 125 retains the visual DNA of its 110cc sibling but undergoes a design makeover, incorporating new elements and contours to cater to those seeking a sporty and efficient 125cc scooter. It comes equipped with an LED headlamp, idle start-stop system, side-stand indicator with engine inhibitor, a pass switch, integrated headlight beam, a Smart Key instead of a conventional one, and features additional functions like smart find, keyless start, and added security. The scooter is equipped with a fully digital instrument panel that provides real-time information such as speed, fuel level, average/instant mileage and trip details at a glance.
In terms of its dimensions, this scooter boasts a width of 707 mm, a length of 1830 mm, a height of 1172 mm, and a wheelbase of 1260 mm. The scooter cruises on 12-inch alloy wheels wrapped in tubeless tires. Weighing in at 104 kilograms, the Dio 125 is equipped with a 5.3-liter fuel tank and provides a ground clearance of 171mm. Another standout feature is the spacious 18-litre under-seat storage, providing added convenience for carrying your belongings. Additionally, it boasts a side stand indicator to ensure you never forget to retract the stand before hitting the road.
As previously mentioned, the Dio 125 will come in two options: the Standard variant is priced at NRs. 2.99 Lakhs and the Deluxe variant is priced at NRs. 3.0 Lakhs in the Nepalese market. Honda Dio 125 is available in 7 different colours namely Sports Red, Pearl Deep Ground Gray, Mat Sangria Red Metallic, Mat Axis Gray Metallic, Mat Marvel Blue Metallic, Pearl Night Star Black and Pearl Siren Blue.
