Royal Enfield, the iconic motorcycle manufacturer, has officially launched its latest masterpiece – the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 in the Indian market. Alpha Automotive Pvt. Ltd., the authorized distributor of Royal Enfield motorcycles in Nepal, is also gearing up for an official launch in its upgraded avatar - the Himalayan 450. The recently launched Himalayan signifies a notable progression for the motorcycle manufacturer based in Chennai, showcasing substantial improvements in design, mechanics, hardware, technology, and various other aspects. This much-anticipated release is set to redefine the adventure biking experience in Nepal.

The new adventure tourer is equipped with a brand new Royal Enfield’s first-ever liquid-cooled engine, named the ‘Sherpa 450.’ Powering the bike is a fresh liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine with a displacement of 452cc, delivering 40 horsepower and 40 Newton-meters of torque. Known as the Sherpa 450, this engine is paired with a 6-speed gearbox that incorporates a slip-and-assist clutch. The new adventure tourer is equipped with USD forks at the front and preload-adjustable monoshock suspension at the rear. The braking system is managed by disc brakes at both ends, and all the components are provided by ByBre. The motorcycle comes with standard dual-channel ABS, with the option to deactivate it at the rear.

True to Royal Enfield's heritage, the Himalayan 450 sports a distinctive look that combines modern design elements with the timeless charm of classic motorcycles. It comes with elements such as an LED headlight, headlamp cowl, windshield, front beak, fuel tank, and side panels. Things like front and rear luggage racks, step-up split seats, and rear tail sections will remain the same. The latest 4-inch circular TFT dashboard can connect to your phone using Bluetooth. It allows you to view Google Maps information and manage music playback using the joystick on the left switch cube. The new Himalayan is also the first Royal Enfield to get ride-by-wire and has two riding modes - Eco and Performance.

With an impressive ground clearance of 230mm, the Royal Enfield Himalayan boasts a manageable stock seat height of 825mm. For customization, the seat height can be raised to 845mm or reduced to 805mm with the optional low seat accessory. It comes equipped with a single 320mm disc at the front and a 270mm disc at the back. Just like its predecessor, the bike maintains 21/17-inch wheel sizes for the front and rear. However, the tires are completely redesigned, tailored specifically for the new Himalayan model. With a weight of 196 kilograms and a fuel tank capacity of 17 litres, the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 is set to impress with its robust build and ample fuel storage.

The new Himalayan is available in three variants: Base, Pass, and Summit. The introductory cost for the base model of the Himalayan 450 in the Indian market is set at 2.69 lakh. Meanwhile, the pricing details for the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 in Nepal will be disclosed at the time of its official launch. Stay tuned for the official launch in Nepal, and get ready to embark on an exhilarating journey with the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450. It combines functionality with style, featuring a design that is both modern and timeless.
