Hyundai Motors is gearing up to introduce its latest micro-SUV, the Exter, in Nepal shortly. The Exter micro-SUV was officially revealed by Hyundai Nepal at the NADA Auto Show 2023. The commencement of bookings for the brand-new Hyundai Exter is just around the corner in the Nepalese market. It will be offered in four different variants, namely E, S, SX, and SX(O). With its sleek design, cutting-edge technology, and unmatched performance, the Hyundai Exter is set to redefine the Nepalese automotive industry. The Exter is a compact SUV with seating for up to five passengers, positioned in Hyundai's lineup below the Venue model.


The Hyundai Exter houses a powerful yet fuel-efficient engine that delivers an exhilarating driving experience. It is powered by a 4-cylinder, 1197 cc, 1.2 l Kappa Petrol engine (E20 Fuel Ready) that generates a maximum power of 82 PS and 113.8 Nm of torque. This engine comes with a 5-speed manual transmission (5MT) and AMT (Automated Manual Transmission). It boasts a length of 3,815mm, a width of 1,710mm, and a height of 1,631mm. It features a wheelbase spanning 2,450mm with an impressive height of 1,631mm, and it also provides a comfortable 165mm of ground clearance. It comes with a 37-litre fuel tank and offers a spacious 391-litre boot area. It delivers an estimated fuel mileage of approximately 18-20 kilometres per litre.


The Hyundai Exter boasts a head-turning design that blends sophistication with a touch of sportiness. It features a distinctive Parametric Front Grille, accompanied by H-Signature LED Daytime Running Lights (DRLs), Projector Headlamps, and a sporty skid plate, enhancing its overall aesthetics. It offers a connected 8" HD touchscreen and an advanced digital cluster featuring a 4.2" colour TFT MID. The infotainment system includes built-in navigation and seamless smartphone connectivity through Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The digital cluster provides a wealth of drive-related information and statistics. Furthermore, all variants of the Hyundai Exter will come equipped with 26 standard safety features, and these features will also be available as an option on the entry-level trims (E & S).


When it comes to safety, the Hyundai Exter is well-equipped. It includes essential safety features such as six airbags, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Vehicle Stability Management (VSM), and Hill Assist Control (HAC). Additionally, standard safety features like 3-Point Seat Belts with seatbelt reminders for all seats, Keyless Entry, Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), Rear Parking Sensors, Emergency Stop Signal (ESS), Burglar Alarm, and more ensure a secure driving experience. It is also equipped with a dual-camera dashcam, ISOFIX, Headlamp Escort function, Rear Parking Camera, and much more to enhance your driving experience.


The expected price range for the Exter in the Nepalese market is approximately NRs. 40 Lakhs to NRs. 45 Lakhs. Hyundai Exter is available in 9 different colours - Fiery Red, Cosmic Blue With Abyss Black Roof, Atlas White, Ranger Khaki, Atlas White With Abyss Black, Starry Night Blue, Titan Grey, Cosmic Blue and Ranger Khaki With Abyss Black Roof.
