Jeep has officially commenced the delivery of its highly anticipated model, the Meridian, in Nepal. MAW Life, the authorized distributor of Jeep automobiles in Nepal, recently introduced its latest upscale SUV to the automotive market in Nepal. The Jeep Meridian SUV is available exclusively in the highest-tier LIMITED (O) variant in the Nepalese market. The iconic brand, synonymous with off-road mastery, is set to conquer the Nepalese automotive industry, bringing an adrenaline-fueled experience to drivers who crave the perfect blend of performance and style.
The Meridian boasts an impressive powertrain that combines raw power with fuel efficiency. It is powered by a 2.0L multijet II turbo diesel engine that generates a max power of 170PS at 3750rpm and a max torque of 350Nm at 1750-2500rpm. This engine is mated to a 9-speed automatic transmission. The Meridian comes with four-wheel drive and a range of off-road features, including skid plates, tow hooks, and a locking rear differential. It is also equipped with a select-terrain management system that gets you various traction modes including sand, mud, snow and auto options. The suspension duties of Meridian are covered by a McPherson Strut and Multi-Link handle.

In terms of safety, it is equipped with six airbags, a 360-degree camera, tyre pressure monitoring, electronic stability control, traction control, rollover mitigation, hill start assist (HSA), hill descent control (HDC) and antilock braking system (ABS) with electronic brakeforce distribution (EBD). It includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, and lane departure warning. It also includes blind spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert, which can help drivers avoid collisions when changing lanes or backing up.
