GAC Aion, a pioneering name in electric vehicle (EV) technology, is set to launch its latest marvel, the Hyper HT Electric SUV in Nepal. CG Motors, the exclusive distributor of GAC Motor in Nepal, is set to introduce the Hyper HT Electric SUV, a sub-brand of GAC Aion, to the Nepali market soon. However, the specific launch date has not yet been disclosed. This electric vehicle is a statement of intent, showcasing cutting-edge technology, luxurious design, and impressive performance.
The Hyper HT is a powerhouse of electric performance. The detailed technical specifications for the GAC Hyper HT Electric SUV tailored for the Nepalese market have not yet been provided by the company. Internationally, it is available with four battery options: 70 kWh, 72.7 kWh, 80 kWh, and 93 kWh. These batteries offer CLTC ranges of 550 km, 600 km, 670 km, and 770 km, respectively. The charging process is versatile, offering a standard 6-8 hour charge time along with fast-charging options.
The Hyper HT is offered exclusively in single-motor rear-drive configurations and comes in six different trim levels. The two entry-level models are equipped with motors that deliver a peak power of 180 kW and a peak torque of 355 Nm, allowing them to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.8 seconds. The top-tier models feature a peak power of 250 kW and a peak torque of 430 Nm, enabling them to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.8 seconds.
Beyond its technical prowess, the Hyper HT makes a strong statement with its sleek, aerodynamic design and modern features. In terms of its features, it comes equipped with full LED lighting, encompassing LED headlights, LED side indicators, and LED taillamps. Additionally, it features a stylish steering wheel, a digital instrument cluster, a spacious central entertainment screen, two wireless charging stations, and a centre console that seems to float, providing generous storage below.
Safety features in the Hyper HT include multiple airbags, a 360-degree camera, adaptive cruise control, heated and ventilated front seats, unique gull-wing doors, heated rear seats, a parking assistance system, ABS with EBD, powered doors, and numerous others. Backseat passengers can lean back in their seats, use a little foot support, and fold down the front passenger seat for more legroom. Additionally, it features a 22-speaker Dolby Atmos sound system and a full panoramic glass roof. 7
The Hyper HT boast 4,935 mm long, 1,920 mm wide, and 1,700 mm tall, with a wheelbase of 2,935 mm. This medium-sized fastback SUV is constructed on the AEP3.0 third-generation electric platform. This electric SUV has a ground clearance of 183 mm and weighs 1735 kilograms when empty. While still under development, GAC Aion is working towards integrating full autonomous driving features in future updates.
