CG Motors, the authorised distributor of GAC Aion vehicles in Nepal, has officially announced the introduction of its latest electric vehicle (EV) in the Nepalese market. GAC Motors is a prominent player in the Chinese electric vehicle (EV) market, recognised for its stylish aesthetics, generous interior space, and cutting-edge EV innovations. This launch marks a significant stride towards sustainable mobility in the nation, promising an exhilarating blend of innovation, performance, and eco-consciousness.
GAC Aion is equipped with advanced electric motors and state-of-the-art battery technology. It is powered by a 100kW electric motor that generates a max power of 134PS and a max torque of 225Nm. Additionally, it is powered by a 61.5 kWh LiFePo battery, utilizing magazine battery technology. It boasts an impressive range of approximately 510 kilometres according to the NEDC standard, and when it comes to charging, the Aion Y requires approximately 8 to 10 hours to fully recharge.
The GAC Aion Y is constructed using the advanced GEP 2.0 Pure Electric Platform, which boasts a 50:50 Weight Distribution Golden Ratio. This ratio ensures a balanced weight distribution, resulting in a lower centre of gravity and enhanced stability. By achieving this optimal balance, the vehicle experiences minimal body roll and effectively dampens vibrations, all while maintaining an exceptional drive quality with no compromises. The suspension responsibilities are managed by McPherson Independent and Torsion-beam systems.
