Bajaj Auto has officially launched its much-anticipated Chetak 2901 Electric Scooter. The Bajaj Chetak 2901 is the most budget-friendly version of the Chetak e-scooter, designed specifically for a younger crowd. HH Bajaj, the official distributor of Bajaj motorcycles in Nepal, is set to launch the Chetak 2901 electric scooter in Nepal soon. However, the exact launch date has not yet been confirmed. This launch marks a significant milestone in urban mobility, blending the charm of classic design with cutting-edge electric technology.
Under the hood, the Chetak 2901 packs a punch. Its powerful electric motor ensures a smooth and swift ride, making it perfect for urban commutes. The Chetak 2901 comes with a 2.9 kWh battery. This electric scooter boasts a promised range of 123 kilometres. However, achieving a full charge takes a bit longer, with the company claiming a charging time of six hours. The top speed of the e-scooter has gone up to 63 kmph. It's important to note that the Chetak 2901 has an off-board charger, similar to the Chetak Urbane. Currently, Bajaj only provides the Chetak Premium with an onboard charger.
The latest Chetak 2901 shares its design with the rest of the lineup but lacks a few features found in other models. It comes equipped with all LED lighting, a monotone LCD, self-cancelling blinkers, left and right control switches, an electronic handle lock, and a seat opening switch. Chetak also now offers enhanced storage capacity. It comes with steel wheels and just one riding mode initially. However, for additional features like Eco and Sport riding modes, reverse mode, hill-hold assist, alloy wheels, and others, you can opt for the TecPac package.
Bajaj Auto has updated its lineup of electric two-wheelers by releasing the 2024 Chetak Premium and Urbane models. The introduction of the Bajaj Chetak 2901 Electric Scooter marks a new addition to the range. While the Bajaj Chetak Premium Electric Scooter is gearing up for its debut in Nepal soon, the launch details and pricing for the Urbane and Chetak 2901 variants in the Nepalese market are yet to be finalized. It will be offered in five lively colours, and it features a sturdy metal body.
Bajaj has positioned the Chetak 2901 as an affordable option in the electric scooter market. With government incentives and subsidies for electric vehicles, the cost of ownership becomes even more attractive. Additionally, the low maintenance requirements and the savings on fuel costs make the Chetak 2901 a wise investment for the long term. Stay tuned for more updates on this electric vehicle.
