The Austrian motorcycle manufacturer KTM has officially launched the much-awaited third-generation 2024 KTM Duke 250 in Nepal. Hansraj Hulaschand & Co., the authorised distributor of KTM motorcycles in Nepal, initiated bookings for the third-generation KTM 250 Duke in Nepal a month ago. Recently, they commenced deliveries to customers who pre-booked. Rumours suggest that over 50 Duke bikes were reserved. With a wide array of fresh enhancements and upgrades, the KTM Duke 250 is positioned to emerge as the most alluring KTM option available in the current Nepalese market.
What truly sets the 2024 Duke 250 apart is its blistering performance. It is powered by a 249.07cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, SOHC FI engine that generates a max power of 31 PS at 9250rpm and a max torque of 25Nm at 7250rpm. It is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. It is also a BS6-compliant FI engine with E20 fuel compatible. The new engine brings a 1PS increase in power and a 1Nm boost in torque figures. It comes with a dual-disc setup paired with dual-channel ABS, including SuperMoto ABS technology.
The Generation 3 Duke 250 doesn't just excel in performance; it's a head-turner in terms of design as well. It boasts a comprehensive LED setup, including LED headlights and indicators, along with an all-LED tail lamp featuring complete LED side indicators. Additionally, its updated muscular tank showcases the signature tank pattern and glossy paint finish. It features a split-seat configuration and eye-catching orange alloy wheels. It also boasts a fully digital instrument cluster, providing a plethora of information at a glance.
The latest KTM Duke 250 comes with dimensions that showcase its compact yet powerful build. It measures 2026 mm in length, 836 mm in width, and 1267 mm in height, with a wheelbase of around 1357 mm. The saddle height sits at 823 mm, while the ground clearance reaches 176 mm with a kerb weight of 163 kg. It features a spacious fuel tank capable of holding 15 litres, coupled with an impressive mileage of about 35.00 kilometres per litre. The suspension duties are handled by a 43mm WP APEX USD fork and a 10-step preload adjustable WP APEX monoshock.
The 2024 KTM Duke 250 price in Nepal is NRs. 7.39 Lakhs. Hansraj Hulaschand & Co. has revealed that the refreshed Duke 250 will see a marginal price hike of NRs. 5,000 in comparison to its previous model. The earlier version was priced at NRs. 7.34 Lakhs in Nepal. It is available in two different colours: Ceramic White and Electric Orange. The third iteration of the Duke 250 will primarily challenge competitors such as the Yamaha FZ25 and Suzuki Gixxer 250 in the Nepalese market.
