Hyundai, the trailblazing automobile giant, is gearing up to launch the highly anticipated Creta Facelift in Nepal. The Hyundai Creta Facelift made its international debut just a few days ago. Hyundai is expected to launch the facelifted Creta in Nepal around mid-2024, However, Laxmi International Pvt. Ltd., the authorised distributor of Hyundai vehicles in Nepal, has not yet confirmed the specific launch date. The forthcoming SUV features a design strongly influenced by its larger counterpart, the Tucson/Santa Cruz.
The design revisions in the Hyundai Creta facelift focus on updating its appearance, with notable changes in the front. However, the side profile and rear end maintain a similar look compared to the previous generation. The new Creta is equipped with a Hyundai Sensuous Sportiness design language with some new design touches like redesigned rectangular headlamps, a new parametric grille, new spilt tail lamps, and other such elements. The design for the LED tail lamps has also been tweaked. It also gets an all-digital instrument cluster that adapts its UI as per the drive mode selected which includes a panoramic sunroof and premium Bose speakers.
Hyundai has included some new features on the facelift, like a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster (like the one seen in the Alcazar) including a touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support. The Creta Facelift's interior has been meticulously crafted to provide an indulgent experience for both the driver and passengers. Plush leather upholstery and ambient lighting create an inviting ambience. Safety is a top priority, with features like multiple airbags, adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, and a 360-degree camera system providing peace of mind on the road.
Beneath the hood, the Hyundai Creta Facelift packs a punch with its powerful and efficient engine options. Whether you opt for the fuel-efficient petrol variant or the torquey diesel engine, the Creta Facelift delivers a driving experience that is both exhilarating and fuel-conscious. The finely tuned suspension and responsive steering make every corner a joy to navigate, reaffirming Hyundai's commitment to delivering a dynamic driving experience. In terms of dimensions, the Creta facelift retains the same measurements as its predecessor. It also boasts a refreshed front grille that exudes confidence, coupled with sleek LED headlights.
Hyundai has launched the Creta facelift in five different powertrain options. The Creta still comes with the same engines as before: a 115hp, 1.5-litre regular petrol engine and a 116hp, 1.5-litre diesel engine. Both have a 6-speed manual, but you can also get an automatic – CVT for the petrol and a torque converter for the diesel. There's also a turbocharged petrol engine option, now at 160hp with a 1.5-litre capacity, and it only comes with a 7-speed DCT automatic transmission. Each of the five powertrains offers varying fuel efficiency, with mileages ranging from 17 to 22 kilometres per litre.
Hyundai Motors hasn't given any final word on its Nepal launch but we expect it to arrive at our shores by mid-2024. Hyundai will price the new Creta Facelift at a premium over its current Creta pricing. Once launched, in Nepal Hyundai Creta facelift will continue to compete against the likes of Kia Seltos, Skoda Kushaq, Volkswagen Taigun, Nissan Kicks, and the MG Astor. So, if you're in the market for a car that transcends the ordinary, look no further than the Hyundai Creta Facelift - a symphony of style, comfort, and performance that will undoubtedly leave you in awe.
