Hansraj and Hulaschand are set to debut the Triumph Speed 400 and Scrambler 400X in Nepal at the upcoming NADA Auto Show 2024. These motorcycles promise to redefine the riding experience with their blend of classic British design and modern engineering.
The Triumph Speed 400 epitomises the brand’s rich heritage combined with contemporary performance. Designed for urban riders who crave agility and power, this motorcycle is set to become a favourite on Nepal’s diverse roads. For those who seek adventure and enjoy off-road escapades, the Scrambler 400X is the perfect companion. This motorcycle is built to tackle rugged terrains while maintaining comfort and style.
Both motorcycles are equipped with a fuel-injected, liquid-cooled 398cc single-cylinder engine that generates a maximum power of 39.5 bhp and 37.5 Nm of peak torque. The engine is paired with a six-speed gearbox and also features a slip-and-assist clutch. Both bikes are equipped with disc brakes and feature dual-channel ABS for enhanced braking performance. The engine tuning provides ample torque, ensuring excellent performance on diverse terrains.
The Speed 400 and Scrambler 400X offer accessible seat heights of 790mm and 835mm, respectively, and weigh 170kg and 179kg. Both models feature a model-specific chassis with a new frame, bolt-on rear subframe, and cast-aluminium swingarm, complemented by suspension setups tailored for their unique riding styles. With ample ground clearance, extended suspension travel, and rugged tyres, both bikes are crafted to excel on challenging any road trails.
The Speed 400 boasts advanced suspension with 43mm big-piston upside-down front forks and a mono-shock Rear Suspension Unit, paired with 17-inch lightweight wheels and precise roadster geometry. In contrast, the Scrambler 400 X offers a longer wheelbase and extended travel suspension, complemented by a larger 19-inch front wheel and wide handlebars.
Both bike features a minimalist and rugged design, with a comfortable seat and wide handlebars for better control. Its dual-purpose nature makes it equally adept at city commuting and off-road exploration. Both the Speed 400 and Scrambler 400X incorporate advanced rider-focused technology such as ride-by-wire throttle, traction control, a modern dual-format instrument panel, torque-assist clutch, all-LED lighting, and standard factory-fitted security features like a steering lock and anti-theft immobilizer.
The exact pricing details for the Triumph Speed 400 and Scrambler 400X in Nepal have not been revealed yet. However, they are expected to be available at an attractive price point.
