Kia Motors is all set to launch the all-new Carens MPV in Nepal. Continental Associates, the authorized distributor of Kia vehicles in Nepal, has officially opened the booking for the all-new Carens MPV in the Nepalese market. The all-new Carens 7-seater MPV is one of the most exciting vehicles to hit the market in recent years. The Carens will be available in two variants in the Nepalese market including Premium and Prestige. With its sleek design, spacious interior, and impressive features, this vehicle is the perfect blend of form and function. The Carens is based on the company's popular compact SUV - the Kia Seltos.

The Carens MPV is powered by two petrol engine options, which include a naturally aspirated 1.5-litre petrol engine, and a 1.4-litre turbo petrol motor. The 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine generates a max power of 113 bhp and a max torque of 144 Nm, whereas the 1.4-litre T-GDi turbo petrol engine generates a max power of 138 bhp and a max torque of 242 Nm. The standard transmission for the vehicle is a 6-speed manual gearbox, but there are also options for automatic transmission including a 7-speed DCT and a 6-speed torque converter.

The All-New Carens Kia MPV provides 216 litres of storage capacity with all three seats in use. When the third row is folded down, the luggage space expands to 645 litres, and if the second-row seats are also folded down completely, the cargo capacity reaches up to 1164 litres. The Kia Carens stands out for its generous dimensions, measuring 4,540 mm long, 1,800 mm wide, and 1,700 mm high, with a wheelbase of 2,780 mm. This makes it one of the largest vehicles in its class, offering ample space for passengers and cargo. The Carens will come with both 6- and 7-seater cabin layout options.

Another great thing about the Carens Kia MPV is its impressive array of features and amenities. It comes with a unique combination of features like LED headlights, LED daytime running lights, aggressive-looking wraparound LED taillamps connected by an LED strip, dual-tone alloy wheels, roof rails, a muscular rear bumper, keyless entry, electrically adjustable ORVMs, an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, steering mounted controls, and 5 USB Type-C ports. The Car also gets Bose premium sound system with 6 speakers, and a smart pure air purifier with virus and bacteria protection. Kia has also added a satisfactory amount of chrome to enhance the car's luxurious appearance.

One of the standout features of the Carens Kia MPV is its advanced safety technology. All variants are equipped with strong safety features like six airbags, ABS, ESC (Electronic Stability Control), HAC (Hill-start Assist Control), DBC (Downhill Brake Control), BAS (Brake Assist), all-wheel disc brakes, rear parking sensors, a tyre pressure monitoring system, a rearview camera with dynamic guidelines, a driving rear view monitor, blind spot detection, lane departure warning, and rear cross-traffic alert. It is also equipped with the latest Kia Connect car tech that includes features such as geofencing, live vehicle status and tracking and certain remote-controlled features like engine start/stop, climate control operation, and door lock/unlock.

As mentioned earlier, the all-new Carens Kia MPV is available in two different variants -  Premium and Prestige. The Carens MPV Premium price in Nepal is NRs. 48.90 lakhs while Carens MPV Prestige price in Nepal is NRs. 52.90 lakhs. It will compete against the likes of the Maruti XL6, Mahindra Marazzo, MG Hector Plus, Hyundai Alcazar, and the Mahindra XUV700 in the Nepalese market. Whether you're looking for a family car, a daily driver, or a weekend getaway vehicle, the Carens Kia MPV is definitely worth considering.
