Hero MotoCorp has officially introduced a new variant of its Xoom scooter, called the Combat Edition. CG Motors, the official distributor of Hero bikes and scooters in Nepal, recently launched the Xoom 110 in the country a few months ago. Building on this success, they are now gearing up to unveil a new variant, the Xoom Combat Edition, in the near future. According to recent reports, this latest scooter is expected to debut at the upcoming NADA Auto Show 2024 in Nepal.
The Xoom Combat Edition is based on the top ZX model of Hero’s sporty scooter. What makes it special is its unique 'Matte Shadow Grey' colour, which includes a grey base with yellow and black accents, inspired by fighter jets. Unfortunately, the ZX model isn’t available in Nepal right now, but we hope Hero brings it to the market soon.
Besides its distinctive colour scheme, the Xoom Combat Edition has the same mechanical features as the other models in the lineup. It is powered by a 110.9cc, 4-stroke, Air-cooled FI, BS6 engine that generates a max power of 8.2 Bhp at 7250rpm and a max torque of 8.70Nm at 5250rpm. It also comes with the revolutionary i3S technology. The suspension duties are covered by a telescopic hydraulic shock absorber paired with a spring-loaded hydraulic damper. It offers a braking system with either a disc or drum setup, complemented by a Combine Braking System.
Under the hood, the Hero Xoom Combat Edition is packed with advanced features designed to enhance performance and rider comfort. In terms of features, it is equipped with a signature H-shaped projector LED headlamp, halogen side indicators, LED taillamp, USB charger, and a range of other amenities. Additionally, it features an all-digital instrument cluster with Bluetooth Connectivity, delivering essential information such as Caller ID, Real-Time Mileage, Low Fuel indication, SMS Alert, and other useful details.
The Hero Xoom is crafted with compact dimensions, measuring 1881 mm in length, 731 mm in width, and 1118 mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 1300 mm. With a ground clearance of 155 mm and weighing 109 kg, it offers both agility and stability. The scooter includes a roomy 19.2-litre under-seat storage space and a 5.2-litre fuel tank. It delivers excellent mileage of about 45 to 50 kilometres per litre and reaches a top speed of 87 km/h.
In Nepal, the Hero Xoom 110 is available in two variants: DRSC and DRZC. With the new Combat Edition, there will now be three choices. The DRSC is a mid-tier model with cast wheels, drum brakes, i3S tech, a digital display, a wider rear tyre, a USB port, and a boot light. The DRZC, the top model, includes alloy wheels, disc brakes, i3S tech, a Bluetooth display, cornering lights, and all the features of the DRSC. Stay tuned for more details on the Combat Edition.
The Hero Xoom price in Nepal starts at NRs. 2.49 lakhs. The Hero Xoom Combat Edition is likely to be priced higher than the current model in Nepal. Hero Xoom will compete with the Honda Dio in the Nepalese market. As we eagerly await its official unveiling at NADA 2024, it’s clear that Hero has once again raised the bar, promising an exceptional ride that combines style, performance, and innovation.
