The new 2022 Bajaj Dominar 400 has been officially launched. According to the company, the updated Dominar 400 features a host of new factory-fitted touring accessories. The Dominar 400 in Nepal was first launched back in the year 2017, with the upgrade version coming back in 2019, and the company has now updated its flagship motorcycle with touring accessories. Bajaj is also set to launch the Dominar 400 in Nepal in the coming days with an extensive array of factory-fitted touring accessories that suits the Nepalese road for long-distance touring.
The new Bajaj Dominar 400 comes with loads of accessories package that has been optimized for long-distance touring. The list of accessories includes a standard tall visor, hand guards, engine bash plate, leg guard, luggage carrier and backrest, navigation stay, USB charging point, and saddle stays. The bike is also equipped with standard handguards with Flexi-winglets, a new luggage carrier that also features a pillion back-rest. The standard tall visor has been designed to offer good wind-blast protection, helping improve rider comfort. However, apart from the addition of these new accessories, the Bajaj Dominar 400 mechanically remains the same as the previous model. The new Dominar 400 will be powered by the same BS6 compliant 373.2cc, single-cylinder, fuel-injected, liquid-cooled DTS-i engine that churns out 40 PS of power at 8800 RPM and 35 Nm of peak torque at 6500 RPM that comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox with slipper clutch. The Bajaj Dominar 400 is suspended by 43mm USD forks at the front and a mono-shock at the rear. The bike comes with dual-channel ABS with 320mm discs up front and 230mm discs at the rear.
All accessories, except the saddle, will be supplied as standard on the Dominar 400. The saddle will be a chargeable accessory that Bajaj Auto dealers will sell separately at a nominal price. Bajaj Dominar 400 sports tourer will be made available in two color options including Aurora Green and Charcoal Black. The standard Bajaj Dominar 400 cost NRs 5.89 lakhs in the Nepalese market but the new model with accessories which will be the only variant available for sale may cost NRs 20,000 more.
