The highly anticipated Jaecoo J6, Chery’s luxury electric SUV, is set to make its groundbreaking debut at the NADA Auto Show 2024 in Nepal. However, ahead of its official unveiling at the event, the Jaecoo J6 has already been spotted in Kathmandu. Chinese automaker Chery is introducing its new Jaecoo luxury brand to the Nepalese market by unveiling the Jaecoo J6 electric compact SUV during NADA. This sophisticated SUV represents a fusion of cutting-edge technology, opulent design, and eco-friendly innovation. 

The Jaecoo J6 is powered by a robust electric drivetrain that delivers impressive performance. It is powered by a single-motor powertrain producing 135 kW that delivers 135 kW of power and 220 Nm of torque. It is equipped with CATL’s 65 kWh LFP battery. It offers an electric driving range of up to 426 km based on NEDC standards, with multiple charging options. With a commendable range on a single charge, the Jaecoo J6 is designed to meet the needs of both city commuting and long-distance travel.

The Jaecoo J6 exudes an aura of elegance and strength with Its sleek, aerodynamic design and modern features. The Jaecoo J6 boasts distinctive boomerang-shaped LED headlights, sleek LED side indicators, and vertically aligned LED taillights. Adding to its futuristic appeal are the electric pop-out door handles. It also features a stylish and luxurious interior, highlighted by a 9.2-inch digital instrument display and a spacious 15.6-inch horizontal touchscreen infotainment system. Additionally, it includes a 50-watt Qi wireless charger and a panoramic glass roof.

Safety is a top priority for Chery, and the Jaecoo J6 is equipped with a comprehensive suite of advanced safety features. For enhanced safety, the Jaecoo J6 comes with an array of active and passive features. These include six airbags, a Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), an Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), and select Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) features.

The Jaecoo J6 has dimensions of 4406mm in length, 1910mm in width, and 1715mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2715mm. It provides a ground clearance of 195mm when unladen and 170mm when fully loaded, and features a minimum turning radius of 5.7 meters. The J6 can go from 0 to 100 km/h in just 10.5 seconds and has a maximum speed of 150 km/h. It features a striking and broad profile, reminiscent of the contemporary Land Rover Defender.

The Jaecoo J6 price in Nepal is expected to be between NRs. 65.00 Lakhs and NRs. 70.00 Lakhs. The introduction of the Jaecoo J6 at the NADA Auto Show 2024 marks a significant milestone for Chery and the Nepalese automotive market.
