The much-anticipated Dongfeng Nammi 01 electric car enters the Nepalese market ahead of its official launch. Prior to its official launch, the Nammi 01 electric car will be subjected to a series of tests in Nepal. MAW Vriddhi, a division of the MAW Group, has recently revealed its exclusive partnership as the authorised importer of Dongfeng Passenger Vehicles in Nepal. Boasting a modern design, cutting-edge technology, and impressive performance metrics, this car is set to become a game-changer in Nepal's growing EV market.
The Nammi 01 is powered by a robust electric motor that delivers impressive performance and efficiency. It is a premium electric hatchback, energised by a 42.3 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery pack. Although details regarding the motor's capacity, encompassing power and torque, remain undisclosed. It provides a driving range of 430 kilometres according to the NEDC cycle. Utilising a DC charger, it can recharge from 30% to 80% in a mere half-hour. Dongfeng is reportedly working on expanding the charging infrastructure in Nepal.
The Nammi 01 comes equipped with state-of-the-art features that enhance both driving experience and safety. It accommodates five passengers and boasts modern features like LED lighting, a 5-inch LCD instrument panel, a multi-function steering wheel, and a 12.8-inch central screen. It also offers convenient amenities such as mobile remote control and over-the-air updates. The instrument panel displays vital information like battery level, distance travelled, and charging status.
In terms of its dimensions, the Dongfeng Nammi 01 measures 4030 mm in length, 1810 mm in width, and 1570 mm in height. It features a wheelbase of 2660 mm, a ground clearance of 176 mm, and is equipped with 17-inch wheels. It has a kerb weight of 1352 kilograms and offers a boot space of 565 litres. It achieves a maximum speed of 140 kilometres per hour. The safety package comprises multiple airbags, along with disc brakes featuring ABS, among other onboard safety features.
The price of Nammi 01 in Nepal is expected to be between NRs. 36 Lakhs and NRs. 40 Lakhs. It is available in seven lively colour options, comprising four single-colour choices and three combinations of two tones.
