Electrifying Debut: MG Cyberster Electric Roadster to Shine at NADA Auto Show 2024

The much-anticipated MG Cyberster Electric Roadster is set to make its grand debut at the NADA Auto Show 2024. Paramount Motors, the authorised distributor of MG Motors in Nepal, is set to launch an exciting new EV, the MG Cyberster, a roadster-style electric vehicle. MG Motors initially unveiled the MG Cyberster at the Guangzhou Auto Show in China. MG's latest marvel promises to redefine electric mobility with its blend of cutting-edge technology, jaw-dropping aesthetics, and exhilarating performance.


Globally, the MG Cyberster is available in two versions: a Rear Wheel Drive (Single Motor) and an All Wheel Drive (Dual Motor). However, we expect that Nepal will receive the Rear-Wheel Drive variant. For more details, we'll need to wait for the official launch of the Cyberster, expected at the NADA Auto Show 2024. This sleek, two-seater roadster boasts a striking design that captures the essence of speed and modernity. Underneath its striking exterior, the MG Cyberster houses a powerhouse of electric technology. 


The Cyberster RWD variant is powered by a 231 kW permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) that generates a max power of 314 PS and a max torque of 475 Nm. It is equipped with a 64 kWh ternary lithium battery. It offers a range of 508 km. Additionally, with a 7.2 kW AC charger, it takes approximately 9 hours and 30 minutes to charge from 0% to 100%. When using fast charging, it can charge from 10% to 80% in about 45 minutes. It provides four distinct riding modes: Comfort, Custom, Sport, and Track. 


MG Cyberster is packed with advanced technological features that promise a futuristic driving experience. In terms of features, it includes sleek LED headlights with daytime running lights, arrow-shaped LED accents in the taillights, a convertible roof, scissor doors, a gaming-themed interior, paddle shifters, wireless charging, an 8-speaker Bose audio system, and more. It features a 10.25-inch main instrument display, complemented by two 7-inch flank displays and a central console display for climate control.


The MG Cyberster Electric Roadster is set to make waves not just with its sleek design and impressive performance, but with its cutting-edge safety features. It is equipped with numerous safety features, including multiple airbags, Level 2 ADAS, a vehicle stability control system, crash sensors, parking sensors, adaptive cruise control, and a robust structural design. It also offers advanced driver monitoring, enhanced visibility and lighting, an efficient braking system with ABS, and real-time safety updates, ensuring comprehensive protection and confidence on the road.


The MG Cyberster Electric Roadster measures 4535 mm in length, 1913 mm in width, and stands 1329 mm tall. It features a wheelbase of 2690 mm and a ground clearance of 160 mm. The vehicle has a kerb weight of 1985 kg and offers a boot space of 249 litres. It is equipped with tubeless tyres, sized 255/40R19. The Cyberster boasts a top speed of 194 km/h and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 5 seconds. The suspension responsibilities are managed by a front double wishbone and a rear multi-link setup. 


The MG Cyberster’s price in Nepal is expected to be around NRs. 1.75 Crores and NRs. 2 Crores. It is set to make its debut at the NADA Auto Show 2024.
