Hyundai Motor has been selling fully electric vehicles in the Nepalese market. Laxmi Intercontinental, the authorized distributor of Hyundai vehicles in Nepal, is all set to launch its premium electric SUV Hyundai Ioniq 5 in Nepal. However, the company has not made any official announcement about launching the Ioniq 5 in Nepal yet but the IONIQ 5 undergoing testing is certainly a positive sign. The Hyundai IONIQ 5 electric vehicle comes with very futuristic styling and premium features.
The Ioniq 5 is available with two battery packs 72.6kWh and 58kWh with the larger battery having a maximum range of 481km and the smaller battery having a maximum range of 385km. The Ioniq 5 is available with two powertrain options. The base version gets a single motor setup that produces 169hp and 350Nm of torque while there’s also a dual-motor, all-wheel-drive version that produces 306hp and 605Nm of peak torque. It can go on to hit a top speed of 185kph. The 2 variants of Ioniq 5 can sprint from 0-100kph in 8.5 seconds and 0-100kph in 5.2sec.
The car is equipped with a host of features including a pair of 12-inch screens for the instrument cluster and an infotainment system featuring Hyundai’s BlueLink connected-car suite. It also gets digital screens for the rear-view mirror display. It also features a sharp line and hidden LED taillight. Ioniq 5 also offers Bose sound system, dual-zone temperature control, hands-free tailgate, 360-degree camera, seven airbags, and Level 2 autonomy. The car also features a wireless charging system and innovative safety package that offers blind spot detection, autonomous braking, cruise control, and rear traffic alert.
Hyundai Ioniq 5 is available in nine different colors but it will be interesting to see which of them will make it to the Nepalese market.
