Ather Energy has just unveiled the much-anticipated Ather 450 Apex Special Edition. The latest launched scooter commemorates a 10-year celebration of Ather innovations. Vaidya Energy, the authorised distributor of Ather scooters in Nepal, is also gearing up to launch the special edition of  Ather 450 Apex in Nepal shortly. While the styling of the 450X remains unchanged, it now boasts a Special Edition colour incorporating a transparent section for added visual appeal. It also comes with an enhanced motor and increased top speed, and introduces the all-new Wrap+ riding mode. 


Ather 450 Apex is powered by a 7.0kW permanent magnet synchronous motor that generates a max power of 7kW and a max torque of 26Nm. Powered by a 3.7kWh Lithium-Ion battery, the Ather 450 Apex swiftly charges from 0% to 80% in just 4 hours and 30 minutes. This efficient charging capability grants it a certified range of 157 kilometres. The motor power has been increased from 6.4kW to 7.0kW. With the enhanced motor power, the Ather 450 Apex now attains an impressive top speed of 100 km/h and accelerates from 0 to 40 km/h even faster, all thanks to the dynamic Wrap Plus mode.


One of the standout features of the Ather 450 Apex Special Edition is its unwavering commitment to safety. It comes equipped with a dual-disc braking system, incorporating both Regenerative Braking and a Combined Braking System. Introducing the Magic Twist, an exclusive feature on the Ather Apex. With this innovation, riders can accelerate by turning the throttle anti-clockwise and brake by turning it clockwise, adding a unique and intuitive twist to the scooter's controls. It manages suspension responsibilities with a Telescopic Fork at the front and a symmetrically mounted Progressive Monoshock at the rear. It is equipped with various Riding Modes.


In terms of its dimension, the Ather 450 Apex Special Edition measures 1891mm in length, 739mm in width, and 1114mm in height, with a wheelbase of 1296mm. The ground clearance is set at 170mm, and it carries a kerb weight ranging from 108kg to 111.6kg. Additionally, it features a generous 22-litre under-seat storage. It is equipped with dual disc brakes, featuring a 90/90-12 configuration for the front and a 100/80-12 setup for the rear. Its well-thought-out dimensions contribute to its agility and ease of manoeuvrability. The battery of the Apex Special Edition is designed with IP67-rated resistance to water and dust.


What sets the Ather 450 Apex Special Edition apart is its cutting-edge technology. It comes equipped with a host of advanced features, including an LED headlamp, LED front DRLs, side indicators, side stand sensors, auto indicator cut-off, document storage, emergency stop signal, Wrap Plus Riding Mode, Indium Blue colour, Magic Twist, and Belt-Drive Protector. Equipped with a 7-inch TFT touchscreen display, riders can access a plethora of features, including navigation, real-time vehicle diagnostics, and over-the-air updates. It also comes loaded with advanced features such as Google Maps integration, 4G connectivity, AtherSTACK 5 OTA upgrades, park assist, and auto hold.


The price of Ather 450X in Nepal is between NRs. 3.85 Lakhs and NRs. 4.25 Lakhs. However, with the introduction of the Ather Apex in Nepal, the anticipated price increase is expected to be in the range of Rs. 80,000 to Rs. 1,20,000 or potentially even higher. It is exclusively available in the captivating Indium Blue color. With its striking design, impressive performance, smart features, and commitment to sustainability, it's a symbol of the evolving landscape of transportation.
