Harley-Davidson, the iconic American motorcycle manufacturer, gears up to debut its latest masterpiece - the Harley-Davidson X440 in Nepal. The Harley-Davidson X440 is expected to make its first appearance in Nepal sometime in 2024. However, the specific launch date and the authorized distributor for the motorcycle are still in the process of being determined and finalized. Hero MotoCorp is also getting ready to unveil a new high-end and sporty motorcycle in Nepal that will be built on the Harley-Davidson X440 platform. It features a modern twist with a neo-retro roadster design, breaking away from the usual classic American cruiser look the brand is known for.

Harley-Davidson has always been synonymous with power. It is powered by an all-new air/oil-cooled 440 cc, long-stroke, two-valve BS6 engine that generates a maximum power of 27 bhp at 6,000 rpm and 38 Nm at 4,000 rpm. This engine is mated with a six-speed gearbox and features a slip-and-assist clutch for enhanced ease of riding. It is equipped with front and rear disc brakes, incorporating an advanced anti-lock braking system (ABS). The front suspension features a 43mm upside-down fork (USD), while the rear suspension comprises gas-charged dual shocks with preload adjustability. The wheels are an 18-inch front and 17-inch rear combination, with a 320 mm front disc with ByBre axially-mounted callipers.

Harley-Davidson is known for its timeless design, and the X440 is no exception. The motorcycle boasts cutting-edge features including advanced LED lighting, a USB charging port, and a 3.5-inch TFT display showcasing a speedometer, tachometer, gear position indicator, distance-to-empty, and various other functionalities. It comes with a distinctive round headlight featuring integrated Harley-Davidson branding, a single-pod instrument cluster, a flat handlebar, a side-slung exhaust, stylish machined alloy wheels, and vintage-inspired round indicators. For the top-tier variant, Bluetooth connectivity with turn-by-turn navigation is also included in the impressive array of features.

The price of the Harley-Davidson X440 in Nepal is yet to be confirmed and will be announced during its official launch. It is offered in three distinct variants, namely the Denim, the Vivid, and the S variant.  Additionally, it is also available in a diverse selection of vibrant colour options. The Harley-Davidson X 440 will rival the likes of the Royal Enfield Classic 350, the Honda H’Ness 350 and even the Yezdi Roadster and Jawa 42 in Nepal. The arrival of the X440 in Nepal is set to create a tighter bond among riders, fostering a sense of camaraderie that transcends borders.
