Hyundai Creta is one of the best-selling vehicles in the Nepalese market. Second-generation Creta in Nepal has been on sale for almost 2 years now. Therefore, a mid-life update must now be done. Hence the new 2020 Hyundai Creta facelift has now been officially teased by the company which is set to debut next month. According to the company, the vehicle will be making its way to the Nepalese market at a later stage. We also expect the official photos to be revealed on 11th November 2021. The new sketches of the 2022 Hyundai Creta facelift have already been teased.

The upcoming Hyundai Creta facelift will take design inspirations from bigger models like the new-generation Hyundai Tucson and Santa Cruz SUVs. The design updates are most likely to change while the profile and rear end look pretty much the same as the older generation. The new Creta will continue with the split headlight setup. The car will come with rectangular and sharper-looking clusters. The grille will be replaced by the new 'parametric grille'. The grille is also flanked by the new mirror-like daytime running lights (DRLs) which look at one with the grille which is nicely integrated.

Mechanically we don't expect to see any major changes on the new Creta. So we can expect to see the same engine options, including the 1.4-liter, four-cylinder turbo petrol motor, a 1.5-liter, four-cylinder naturally-aspirated petrol mill, and the 1.5-liter, four-cylinder oil burner. This engine gets mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox as standard. The new Hyundai Creta facelift is also expected to get a few advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) features like blind-spot monitoring and cross-traffic alert among others. The new updated model is also likely to come with a 360-degree parking camera, HUD, ADAS, and many more.

According to the latest report, Creta will be offered with either a five- or a seven-seat layout but the seven-seat Creta will be a unique product. Hyundai motors hasn't given any final word on its Nepal launch but we expect it to arrive at our shores by 2022. Hyundai will price the new Creta Facelift at a premium over its current Creta pricing. Once launched, in Nepal Hyundai Creta facelift will continue to compete against the likes of Kia Seltos, Skoda Kushaq, Volkswagen Taigun, Nissan Kicks, and MG Astor. The South Korean makers claim it will get advanced, class-leading technology.
