Seres is gearing up to introduce an electrifying addition to Nepal's roads, bringing innovation and sustainability together in their upcoming Electric Vehicle launch. MAW Group, the authorized distributor of Seres EV, is preparing to introduce the 'Seres' electric vehicle line to the Nepalese market in the upcoming weeks. In February 2023, a strategic alliance was revealed between the MAW Group and the Seres Group. Seres currently offers the Seres 3 electric subcompact SUV and Seres 5 sporty premium electric SUV. Both of these electric SUVs are set to be introduced at the highly anticipated NADA Auto 2023 event.

Seres Group, a prominent Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer, proudly presents its renowned electric vehicle brand, Seres. With a vast presence spanning more than 70 countries worldwide, Seres Group stands as a leader in the EV industry. Established in 1986, Seres Group stands as a technology-driven manufacturing conglomerate with a primary focus on new energy vehicles. Renowned for its well-recognized DFSK and SERES brands, the group has solidified its presence in the industry. Comprising of five letters in English, achieving impeccable symmetry in word structure. The letter "S" symbolizes Silicon Valley, while "E" signifies Electric Vehicles (EVs), and "R" denotes Range-Extended.

Seres 3 is an electric subcompact SUV powered by a 120kW PMSM motor that generates a max power of 163 PS and max torque of 300 Nm. It is equipped with a 53.6 kWh lithium-ion battery pack. The battery achieves a complete charge within a span of 9 hours using a 6.6kW Charger. Additionally, it boasts an impressive range of 405 kilometres on a single charging cycle. Additionally, it boasts compatibility with 147kW DC fast charging, effectively reducing the charging duration to less than thirty minutes.

One glance at the Seres 3 is all it takes to recognize the seamless blend of design elegance and eco-futurism. It comes equipped with an LED projector headlamp, a 10.25-inch digital meter console, a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 360-degree camera, 18-inch alloy wheels, wireless phone charging, three drive modes, electrically adjustable seats, automatic climate control, and panoramic sunroof. In terms of safety, it comes with 6 airbags, lane-departure warning alarms, electric-brake force distribution, hill-descent control, hill ascend control, auto-hold and tyre pressure monitoring system.

On a contrasting note, the Seres 5 stands out as a sleek and upscale electric SUV with a sporty edge. It is powered by a 220kW PMSM motor that generates a max power of 300 PS and a max torque of 420 Nm. It comes equipped with an 80kWh lithium iron phosphate battery. The battery has the ability to recharge from 20% to 90% in a span of 7 hours using an 11kW Charger. Additionally, it has the capacity to cover a distance of 500km on a sole charging session. It also boasts compatibility with 147kW DC fast charging, a feature that will significantly reduce the charging duration to less than 42 minutes.

The Seres 5 is a masterpiece of modern design with its sleek and aerodynamic exterior. It comes equipped with Sigma LED DRLs with Multi-LED setup, dynamic front face, 12.3-inch LCD dashboard, 15.6-inch HD infotainment system, panoramic skyline, 64-color interior ambient lighting,  vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V), vehicle-to-load (V2L) output, aluminium alloy chassis, automatic climate control, and panoramic sunroof.  In terms of safety, it comes with 6 airbags, lane-departure warning alarms, electric-brake force distribution, hill-descent control, hill ascend control, auto-hold and tyre pressure monitoring system.

The Price of the Seres electric vehicle in Nepal has not been disclosed yet, but it is expected to fall within the range of approximately NRs. 60 Lakhs to NRs. 90 Lakhs.
