MG ZS EV Receive a Revised Price in Nepal: Here's All You Need to Know

The cost of MG ZS EV, an electric vehicle manufactured by MG Motors, has been significantly reduced in Nepal. Paramount Motors Pvt. Ltd., the official distributor of MG Motors in Nepal, has officially announced a reduction in the prices of the 99 kW and 115 kW (Long Range variant) MG ZS EV models in Nepal. The price of the MG ZS EV 99 kW Deluxe trim in Nepal has been revised to Rs 52.99 Lakh, compared to its previous price of Rs 52.49 Lakh while the MG ZS EV Long Range variant will now be offered at Rs 71.99 Lakh, having been previously priced at Rs 81.99 Lakh. In response to the revised excise and customs duties on electric vehicles (EVs) introduced in the new budget, MG Motors Nepal has adjusted the pricing of the mentioned model accordingly.


The MG ZS EV is available in two battery pack options. The EV with 99 kW motor peak power delivers 280 Nm of maximum torque. It is powered by a 51kWh battery pack that provides a range of up to 320 km on a single charge. The long-range ZS EV is powered by a PMSM (Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor) that generates a power of 115 kW and 280 Nm of torque. It is powered by a 72.6 kWh battery pack that provides a range of up to 440 km on a single charge. It takes around 6-8 hours to charge via a 7kW charger and 0-80% in 30 minutes and 36 minutes via a 50kW and 100kW charger. The ZS EV can go from 0 to 60mph in just 8.2 seconds. It comes with a 470-litre boot space, which can be extended up to 1100 litres.


The MG ZS EV has a sleek and modern design that sets it apart from other electric SUVs in Nepal. It is equipped with a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system with DAB radio and Bluetooth. It is also equipped with a 7-inch digital driver’s display instrument cluster, wireless phone charging, Keyless entry and start, Six-speaker 3D sound system, Six-way driver and four-way front passenger electrical adjustable leather power seats with heating, two ISOFIX child seat anchorage points (outer rear seats), 60/40 folding rear seats, Roof rails, power-folding, projector headlamp, sleek LED DRLs, sunroof, powered driver’s seat, new climate control switches and a new integrated body-coloured front grille.


The MG ZS EV is also equipped with several advanced safety features that make it safe to drive in Nepal. It comes equipped with six airbags, electronic stability control, energy-absorbing bollards, hill-hold assist, ABS with EBD, and rear parking sensors. The car also has a range of advanced driver assistance systems such as lane departure warning, high beam assist, and hill hold control. The car also gets more features like Head-Up Display (HUD), a 360-degree camera, wireless charging, and drive modes among others. It features a spacious cabin with comfortable seating for up to five passengers.


The MG ZS EV stands out as a noteworthy electric vehicle option, offering a combination of impressive performance, advanced features, and an eco-friendly driving experience. It is available in 3 different colours including Currant red, Ferris white, and Copenhagen blue and comes with an 8-year warranty for the battery. The primary competitors in the Nepalese market for this vehicle are Hyundai Kona EV, Ioniq 5 EV, and Tata Nexon EV.
