Hyundai Venue Now Available in Market: Made-in-Nepal Model's Price Announced

The wait is over, and the much-anticipated Hyundai Venue made in Nepal, has finally hit the market. This exciting development marks a significant milestone for the Nepali automobile industry and promises to offer car enthusiasts a blend of style, performance, and affordability. Laxmi Intercontinental, the authorized distributor of Hyundai vehicles in Nepal, has started the commercial assembly and distribution of the Hyundai Venue within Nepal through its subsidiary, Laxmi Motors. The Hyundai Venue represents a significant milestone in Nepal's automotive industry as it is the brand's inaugural four-wheeler manufactured locally.


The Hyundai Venue price in Nepal starts at NRs. 40.96 Lakhs to NRs. 58.96 Lakhs. Laxmi Motors is presently manufacturing and distributing two versions of the Hyundai Venue FL in Nepal: the 1.2 S model priced at NRs. 44.96 Lakhs and the 1.2 SX model is priced at NRs. 53.56 Lakhs. The locally produced Hyundai Venue 1.2 S and 1.2 SX variants in Nepal are significantly more economical than their imported equivalents. The 1.2 S model costs NRs. 4 Lakhs less, while the 1.2 SX variant offers a savings of NRs. 4.4 Lakhs. Furthermore, Laxmi Motors assures that the build quality, performance, and standards are on par with vehicles produced by Hyundai Motor Company in Korea or India.


The Venue comes with various efficient engine options, delivering a smooth and responsive driving experience. It is available in two different engine options. The 1.2L petrol engine generates a max power of 83 PS at 6000 rpm and a max torque of 114 Nm at 4000 rpm. This engine is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. On the other hand, the 1.0L kappa turbo petrol engine generates a max power of 120 PS at 6000 rpm and a max torque of 172 Nm at 1500-4000 rpm. This engine is mated to an iMT or 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. It offers four variants with a 1.2L Petrol engine and one variant with a 1.0 Turbo Petrol engine.


The Hyundai Venue boasts bold and modern features, with its signature cascading grille, sleek design, and sporty stance. It features a dark chrome front grille, LED projector headlamps, projector fog lamps, connecting LED tail lamps, and a smart electric sunroof. Additionally, it includes a digital instrument cluster, an 8-inch floating-screen infotainment system with voice recognition, and a wireless phone charger. It also comes equipped with 15-inch steel wheels, glove box cooling, and fully automatic temperature control air conditioning (AC).


The Hyundai Venue emphasizes safety with features like ABS + EBD, dual airbags, a rear parking assist system with a rear camera, vehicle stability management, a strong body structure with AHSS (Advanced High Strength Steel), hill-start assist control, and more. The suspension setup of the venue includes a MacPherson strut with coil spring and coupled torsion beam axle with coil spring. In terms of braking, the front tyres have disc brakes, while the rear tyres are equipped with drum brakes. The Venue has front-wheel drive (FWD) with a seating capacity for five people.


The Hyundai Venue measures 3995 mm in length, 1770 mm in width, and 1617 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2500 mm. It offers a ground clearance of 195 mm and a boot space of 350 litres. The kerb weight is 1168 kg. It achieves a top speed of 165 kmph, has a fuel tank capacity of 45 litres, and delivers a mileage of approximately 20.36 kmpl (ARAI). It features front tyres measuring 195/65 R15 for the MPi Petrol variant and 195/65 R16 for others, while rear tyres are drum with sizes of 195/65 R15 for MPi Petrol and 195/65 R16 for GDi Petrol, all equipped with tubeless tyres.


The Hyundai Venue comes in six colours: white, red, blue, grey, silver, and black.
