Hyundai, the renowned South Korean automaker, has officially announced the opening of bookings for its latest masterpiece - the Hyundai Exter in Nepal. Laxmi Intercontinental, the authorized distributor of Hyundai vehicles in Nepal, is set to launch its latest micro-SUV for the Nepalese market in the coming days. It will be available in 3 variants; EX, S, and SX. Hyundai Nepal officially revealed the Exter micro-SUV at the NADA Auto Show 2023. The Exter is a compact SUV with seating for five occupants, positioned in Hyundai's lineup below the Venue.

Under the hood, the Hyundai Exter packs a punch with its powerful engine options and advanced drivetrain technology. It is powered by a 4-cylinder, 1197 cc, 1.2 l Kappa Petrol engine (E20 Fuel Ready) that generates a maximum power of 82 PS and 113.8 Nm of torque. This engine comes with a 5-speed manual transmission (5MT) and AMT (Automated Manual Transmission). The engine is compliant with BS6 standards. The suspension responsibilities are managed by a McPherson strut and a paired torsion beam axle.

The Hyundai Exter boasts a bold and dynamic design. It features a distinctive Parametric Front Grille, accompanied by H-Signature LED Daytime Running Lights (DRLs), Projector Headlamps, and a sporty skid plate, enhancing its overall aesthetics. It offers a connected 8" HD touchscreen and an advanced digital cluster featuring a 4.2" colour TFT MID. The infotainment system includes built-in navigation and seamless smartphone connectivity through Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The digital cluster provides a wealth of drive-related information and statistics.

What truly sets the Hyundai Exter apart is its relentless pursuit of safety features. In terms of safety, it gets six airbags, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Vehicle Stability Management (VSM), and Hill Assist Control (HAC). Additionally, standard safety features like 3-Point Seat Belts with seatbelt reminders for all seats, Keyless Entry, Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), Rear Parking Sensors, Emergency Stop Signal (ESS), Burglar Alarm, and more ensure a secure driving experience. It is also equipped with a dual-camera dashcam, ISOFIX, Headlamp Escort function, Rear Parking Camera, and much more. 

The dimensions of the Hyundai Exter radiate an aura of modernity and ample space. It boasts a length of 3,815mm, a width of 1,710mm, and a height of 1,631mm. It features a wheelbase spanning 2,450mm with an impressive height of 1,631mm, and it also provides a comfortable 185mm of ground clearance. It has a kerb weight of 999 kg. It comes with a 37-litre fuel tank and offers a spacious 391-litre boot area. It delivers an estimated fuel mileage of approximately 18-20 kilometres per litre. The maximum speed achievable by the Exter is 149 kilometres per hour.

Hyundai Exter price in Nepal starts at NRs. 34.96 Lakhs to NRs. 44.96 Lakhs. The Hyundai Exter will come in three different models: EX, S, and SX, with prices starting at NRs. 34,96,000 for the EX variant, NRs. 40,96,000 for the S variant, and NRs. 44,96,000 for the SX variant. It is available in a range of captivating colours including Cosmic Blue, Starry Night, Fiery Red, Atlas White, and Titan Grey. With its groundbreaking design, powerful performance, luxurious interior, and cutting-edge technology, the Hyundai Exter is set to redefine the SUV segment in Nepal.
