Harley-Davidson, the iconic American motorcycle manufacturer has recently launched its much-awaited Harley-Davidson X440 model. The Harley-Davidson X440 is a brand-new motorcycle manufactured in India, representing Harley-Davidson's most affordable and easily accessible model to date. It is offered in three distinct variants, namely the Denim, the Vivid, and the S variant. Although the launch date and specific variant of the Harley-Davidson X440 in Nepal are yet to be officially announced, however, probably, the bike will probably soon be introduced in the country. It boasts a neo-retro roadster design, rather than a classic American cruiser design that Harley-Davidson is more identified with.

The Harley-Davidson X 440 is powered by an all-new air/oil-cooled 440 cc, long-stroke, two-valve BS6 engine which develops a power of  27 bhp at 6,000 rpm and 38 Nm at 4,000 rpm. This engine is mated with a six-speed gearbox and features a slip-and-assist clutch for enhanced ease of riding. It is equipped with front and rear disc brakes, incorporating an advanced anti-lock braking system (ABS). The front suspension features a 43mm upside-down fork (USD), while the rear suspension comprises gas-charged dual shocks with preload adjustability. The wheels are an 18-inch front and 17-inch rear combination, with a 320 mm front disc with ByBre axially-mounted callipers.

The Harley-Davidson X440 also comes equipped with cutting-edge technology to enhance the riding experience. The motorcycle features advanced LED lighting, a USB charging socket, and a 3.5-inch TFT display with a speedometer, tachometer, gear position indicator, distance to empty and other features. It is also equipped with a round headlight with integrated Harley-Davidson branding, a single-pod instrument cluster, a flat handlebar, a side-slung exhaust, machined alloy wheels, and retro-style round indicators. The top-spec variant also gets Bluetooth connectivity with turn-by-turn navigation. This X440 bike weighs 190.5 kg and has a fuel tank capacity of 13.5 litres.

The price of the Harley-Davidson X440 begins at INR 2,29,000 in India, and the cost in Nepal is yet to be confirmed and will be announced during its official launch. Additionally, it is available in a diverse selection of vibrant colour options. The Harley-Davidson X 440 will rival the likes of the Royal Enfield Classic 350, the Honda H’Ness 350 and even the Yezdi Roadster and Jawa 42 in the Nepalese market.
