The highly anticipated Deepal L07 electric hatchback has made its grand entrance into Nepal before its official launch. MAW Vriddhi AutoCorp, the authorised distributor of Changan vehicles in Nepal, is set to launch another electric vehicle Deepal L07 in Nepal. The launch of the Deepal S07 marked Changan's debut in Nepal, and now the L07, their second electric vehicle, continues the brand's exciting journey in the country.

The Deepal L07 is crafted on the innovative EPA1 platform, a unique design by Changan specifically for the Deepal brand. This platform promises top-notch safety, outstanding performance, cutting-edge intelligence, and high efficiency, delivering an impressive and practical driving experience for everyday use. It represents a significant leap forward in the Nepalese electric vehicle market. It combines eye-catching design, powerful performance and cutting-edge technology.

The Deepal L07 packs a punch with its advanced electric powertrain. It is powered by a 99 kW permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) that generates a max power of 134 PS and a max torque of 320 Nm. It is equipped with a 66.8 kWh nickel manganese cobalt battery. It boasts an impressive range of up to 540 kilometres. When using a 7kW AC charger, it takes 10 hours to fully charge from 0 to 100%, while a 3kW AC charger requires 24 hours for the same. Additionally, with a DC Fast Charger, it can go from 30% to 80% in just 35 minutes.

One of the first things that capture attention is the Deepal L07’s stylish design and modern features. It comes equipped with projector headlamps, complemented by eye-catching LED daytime running lights (DRLs) and tri-arrow LED taillights connected by a glowing dash line. It features a 14.6-inch sunflower touchscreen and a 10.2-inch LCD meter with voice control, gesture recognition, and mobile remote control capabilities. It features a 14-speaker system, a 40W wireless charger, dual-zone automatic AC with rear vents, a PM 2.5 filter, and various other amenities.

The Deepal L07 Electric Hatchback is equipped with a comprehensive array of safety features, including six airbags, ABS with EBD for enhanced braking control, hill hold control with auto hold function, and a 360-degree camera providing a transparent view of the chassis. Additionally, it includes four rear and two front parking sensors for improved manoeuvrability. With a 5-star crash test rating and features like automatic door unlock upon collision, the Deepal L07 prioritizes safety and peace of mind for its occupants.

The Deepal L07 Electric Hatchback measures 4820 mm in length, and 1890 mm in width, and stands at a height of 1480 mm. It features a wheelbase of 2900 mm and offers a ground clearance of 160 mm. The car's kerb weight is recorded at 2035 kg. The tyre sizes for both the front and rear of the vehicle are 245/45R19, equipped with disc brakes. The maximum speed reaches up to 160 kilometres per hour. The suspension duties are managed by McPherson Strut and H-arm Multi-link Independent suspension systems.

The Deepal L07 is priced at NRs. 66.99 Lakhs in Nepal, announced before the Budget 2081/82 as a pre-budget price. Due to recent increases in EV taxes, there may be slight adjustments to the overall pricing. It comes in five different colours: White, Green, Grey, Black, and Blue.
