Changan Auto is set to introduce its much-anticipated Lumin mini electric vehicle in Nepal. MAW Vriddhi AutoCorp, the official distributor of Changan vehicles in Nepal, is preparing to launch the Lumin, a mini electric vehicle, in the Nepalese market soon. The exact launch date has not yet been announced. The Lumin is an entirely electric compact car, featuring a two-door, four-seat design. It's constructed on Changan’s EPA0 pure electric platform. Its compact size makes it perfect for city driving, easily navigating narrow streets and fitting into the tightest parking spots. 

The Lumin Mini EV packs a punch when it comes to performance. In the Chinese market, the Changan Lumin is offered in three variants with ranges of 155 km, 205 km, and 301 km. However, in Nepal, it will be available exclusively with a 301 km range. The Lumin will be equipped with a powertrain delivering a maximum motor power of 35 kW and a 27.99 kWh battery pack. The Lumin offers DC Fast charging, enabling the battery to charge from 30% to 80% capacity in only 35 minutes.

 The Lumin Mini EV boasts a sleek design and modern features. It also packs a punch with a robust build and a stylish exterior that turns heads wherever it goes. It comes packed with impressive features, including full LED lighting, a 7-inch digital instrument display, and a 10.25-inch infotainment system. It also offers convenient functionalities such as reverse imaging, mobile phone connectivity, voice control, and Bluetooth for both music streaming and phone calls.

Safety is paramount, and the Lumin Mini EV doesn’t compromise. It features a comprehensive suite of safety features, including 2 airbags, advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS), ABS, reversing camera, low-speed driving warning, hill auxiliary, tyre pressure alarm, remote key and ISOFIX. From automatic emergency braking to lane-keeping assistance, the Lumin Mini EV is designed to keep you and your loved ones safe on the road. It also gets an intelligent navigation system that includes real-time traffic updates and route optimization.

The Lumin Mini EV has dimensions of 3270mm length, 1700mm width, and 1545mm height, with a wheelbase measuring 1980mm. It features a ground clearance of 150 mm and weighs 922 kilograms when empty. All tyres are sized 165/70 R14. In terms of braking, this EV is equipped with a brake system comprising front disc brakes and rear drum brakes. The boot space initially measures 104 litres, but folding down the rear seats increases it to 580 litres. The chassis of the Lumin Mini EV incorporates front MacPherson and rear coil spring integral axle suspension systems.
