The Austrian motorcycle manufacturer KTM has officially launched the much-awaited 2024 KTM Duke 390 in Nepal. A few months back, Hansraj Hulaschand & Co., the authorized distributor of KTM motorcycles in Nepal, commenced bookings for the latest generation of Duke 390. Now, they have officially introduced it to the Nepalese market. With advanced engineering and cutting-edge technology, the Duke 390 ensures a seamless blend of power and precision.
The newest version of the KTM Duke 390 has been upgraded in every way possible. It comes with upgrades in its engine, trellis frame, hollow alloy wheels, compact design, diverse riding modes, launch control feature, increased ground clearance, and numerous other improvements. The new Duke 390 continues the proud KTM legacy with its latest improvements. It looks even cooler and offers a better riding experience than before, sticking to what KTM is known for.
At the core of the Duke 390 beats a high-performance engine that promises to deliver an adrenaline-pumping experience. It is powered by a 398.7cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, DOHC FI engine that generates a max power of 46 PS at 8500 rpm and a max torque of 39 Nm at 6900 rpm. This engine is mated to an improved 6-speed gearbox with quick shifters and a slipper clutch. The engine capacity has been boosted by 25.5cc. KTM debuts launch control and traction control features for the first time on the Duke 390 model.
The 2024 Duke 390 is not just about raw power—it's also packed with modern features. It comes equipped with a fresh LED Headlamp configuration, complemented by eight LED Daytime Running Lights (DRLs), LED turn signals, and LED tail lamps. It also features a smart TFT display that connects smoothly with your phone, offering important updates while you're on the move. The new Duke 390 looks even sleeker with sharper tank covers. It's built with a lightweight steel frame and features a split-seat design with different levels.
The latest KTM Duke 390 is equipped with a range of safety features. In terms of safety, the new Duke is equipped with a dual disc setup accompanied by dual-channel ABS, which includes SuperMoto ABS functionality. The suspension duties are handled by the adjustable 43mm WP APEX USD front forks and a WP APEX monoshock at the rear, which offers a 10-step preload adjustment. It also features a sturdy steel trellis main frame and a durable die-cast aluminium subframe.
In terms of dimensions, the 2024 Duke 390 boasts a length of 2002mm, 838mm in width, and 1274mm in height, with a wheelbase of 1357mm. It offers a generous ground clearance of 183mm and a comfortable seat height of 820mm. The kerb weight stands at 168.3 Kg. The fuel tank now boasts an increased capacity of 15 litres with an impressive mileage averaging between 25 to 28 kilometres per litre. The front wheel features a tyre size of 110/70-17 (Disc), while the rear wheel boasts a tyre size of 150/60-17 (Disc).
The KTM Duke 390 price in Nepal is NRs. 8.99 Lakhs. The newest iteration of the Duke arrives with a price tag that's nearly one lakh Nepalese Rupees lower than its forerunner. It comes in two colour options: Electronic orange and Atlantic blue. It gives riders three different riding modes to choose from: Street Mode for city cruising, Rain Mode for better grip in wet weather, and Track Mode for unleashing maximum performance on the racetrack.
