2024 KTM Duke 390 Bookings Open in Nepal: Price Officially Revealed

The Austrian motorcycle manufacturer KTM has officially announced the opening of bookings for the much-awaited 2024 KTM Duke 390 in Nepal. Hansraj Hulaschand & Co., the authorized distributor of KTM motorcycles in Nepal, is preparing to introduce the 2024 KTM 250 Duke shortly and is currently accepting bookings for the new generation. According to the company, the KTM 390 Duke has reached the assembly plant in Nepal and is currently undergoing thorough testing procedures before its anticipated launch.


The latest iteration of the KTM Duke 390 sees a comprehensive upgrade across the board. It boasts enhancements in its engine, trellis frame, hollow alloy wheels, compact design, diverse riding modes, launch control feature, increased ground clearance, and numerous other improvements. With its latest enhancements, the upgraded KTM Duke 390 remains dedicated to upholding the esteemed KTM tradition, boasting even sleeker aesthetics and an enhanced riding journey compared to its predecessor.


KTM Duke 390 is powered by a 398.7cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, DOHC FI engine that generates a max power of 46 PS at 8500 rpm and a max torque of 39 Nm at 6900 rpm. This engine mated to an improved 6-speed gearbox. The engine capacity has been boosted by 25.5cc. KTM debuts launch control and traction control features for the first time on the Duke 390 model. The new bike is also equipped with an array of new features like quick shifters and a slipper clutch. 


In terms of safety, the new Duke 390 is equipped with a dual disc setup accompanied by dual-channel ABS, which includes SuperMoto ABS functionality. The suspension duties are managed by the adjustable 43mm WP APEX USD front forks and a WP APEX monoshock at the rear, which offers 10-step preload adjustment. It comes equipped with a steel trellis main frame and a die-cast aluminium subframe, adding to its structural integrity and ensuring a robust build.


The 2024 KTM Duke 390 is also packed with advanced features. It comes equipped with a fresh LED Headlamp configuration, complemented by eight LED Daytime Running Lights (DRLs), LED turn signals, and LED tail lamps. It also boasts an innovative TFT display that not only provides vital information but also offers interactive features, along with seamless phone connectivity. Its appearance has been heightened with sharper tank shrouds. It is constructed with a lightweight steel trellis frame and incorporates a split-seat setup with multiple levels.


The dimensions of the 2024 KTM Duke 390 are impressive, measuring 2002 mm in length, 838 mm in width, and 1274 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 1357 mm. It offers a generous ground clearance of 183mm and a comfortable seat height of 820 mm. The kerb weight stands at 168.3 Kg. The fuel tank now boasts an increased capacity of 15 litres with an impressive mileage averaging between 25 to 28 kilometres per litre. The front wheel features a tyre size of 110/70-17 (Disc), while the rear wheel boasts a tyre size of 150/60-17 (Disc).


KTM Duke 390 price in Nepal is NRs. 8.99 Lakhs. The latest Duke comes at a price that's approximately NRs. 1 Lakh lower than its predecessor. It presents itself in two captivating colour choices: electronic orange and atlantic blue. Additionally, it offers riders the flexibility of three distinct riding modes: street mode, rain mode, and track mode. Street Mode is ideal for everyday city riding, Rain Mode provides improved traction in wet conditions by restricting the engine to 9000 rpm, and Track Mode unlocks the full potential for maximum performance.
