Yatri Motorcycles, a Nepali startup has launched its first electric motorcycle Project One in Nepal. The motorcycle looks are inspired by Husqvarna and it is a new retro cafe racer in terms of styling and design. Project One is similar to its sibling Project Zero which is more of a sport like a scramble or dual-sport design consisting of white carbon fiber assists to serve a practical purpose. It is neither loud nor aggressive but manages to look elegant with its futuristic and modern vibes.
Yatri P1 is powered by a 3.0 kWh battery that generates a maximum power of 14 kW (19 hp) and a wheel torque of 480 Nm. The 3 kWh battery provides a range of 110 km and allows for faster at 0-60 Kmph time. P1 claims to be 110 kg curb-weight, relatively light-weight than its sibling. The battery of Project One can be charged in 2 hours with a home charger while it also supports fast charging that can charge up to 80% in just 40 mins. Project One batteries come with a 5 Years Warranty. Available in silver colors, project one includes premium features like front LED light with DRL and rear LED light.
Yatri motorcycles plan to open bookings for their second lot of assembled motorcycles at the end of this first quarter. Project One (p-1) initial response in late December 2021 was surprising as the first lot of the Yatri ran booked-out closure within a month. Yatri has scheduled deliveries of those bikes and planned to deliver them within the end of this first quarter of 2022. Accordingly, with the increasing demand for their premium felt brand Yatri Motorcycles plans to deliver their next lot bookings in the mid of 2022.
The Yatri P1 price in Nepal starts at NRs. 4.95 Lakhs to NRs. 5.44 Lakhs. While the list of specifications and features is slightly tone-down, it is still impressive. Here are the complete specifications and features of the Yatri Project-1:
