From the Dark Side of Japan series, Yamaha brand is on the verge of launching new  MT-09 in Nepal. It promises to be lighter, more mental and a lot safer too. The Yamaha MT-09 was re-introduced back in November 2017 with a few cosmetic updates and a BS-IV compliant engine.  The MT-09 is expected to be launched in Nepal sometime next year. It’ll compete against the likes of the Kawasaki Z900, Triumph Street Triple R, BMW F 900 R and the KTM 790 Duke.  Expect the 2021 MT-09 to carry a hefty premium price in the Nepalese market.  We just can’t wait to get our hands on MT-09.

The Yamaha MT-09 engine comes from the same 847 cc liquid-cooled four-cylinder engine that is tuned to produce 113 hp at 10,000 rpm and 87.5 Nm of torque at 8,500 rpm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox and has a Quick Shift System (QSS) for faster changes. The bike also comes with ABS and Traction Control along with the assist and slide clutch. Braking duties are covered by 298 mm dual discs up front and a 245 mm single disc at the rear. The bike's kerb weight stands at 193 kg. The MT-09 is offered in full black, blue with black and a white with red paint scheme. The MT-09 logo now comes with a red finish on the fuel tank.
