Yamaha Motor has officially launched the R15 V4 in Nepal. MAW Enterprises, the authorized distributor of Yamaha motorcycles in Nepal, has launched its highly-anticipated Yamaha R15 V4 with several upgrades to the full-faired motorcycle. Yamaha R15 V4 is equipped with a new design language, new features, and even a new and sportier version. The new bike borrows design cues from the new R7 and the M1 MotoGP machine. The motorcycle is also loaded with new safety features.
The new R15 V4 is powered by a 155 cc, 4-stroke, liquid-cooled, SOHC, 4-valve engine that generates a maximum power of 18.1 bhp at 10,000 rpm and 14.2 Nm of peak torque at 7,500 rpm. Its power is slightly less and torque has gone up by 0.1 Nm compared to V3.0. It is mated to a 6-speed gearbox with a fuel-injected motor and Variable Valve Actuation (VVA). It is also equipped with disc brakes at both ends and dual-channel ABS. The bike also includes the reworked suspension set-up (new front suspension) with the USD front forks.
The Yamaha R15 V4 comes with a new single bi-functional Class-D LED headlight with a new M-shaped intake duct in the center. The headlamp is flanked by LED DRLs on either side. The bike also includes a reworked fairing and tail section on the motorcycle. It is also equipped with special seats, a 3D emblem, and new ByBre brake calipers. The bike is also equipped with a new LCD instrument console with Bluetooth connectivity and a new trip/info button on the right side of the handlebar accessing Track and Street modes.
The Yamaha R15 V4 price in Nepal is NRs. 5.62 Lakhs. The bike is available in three colors - Racing Blue, Dark Knight, and Metallic Red. Yamaha R15 V4 competes with the likes of the KTM RC 125, Bajaj Pulsar RS 200, KTM 125 Duke, and the Suzuki Gixxer SF250 in the Nepalese market.
