Citroen C3 Officially Unveiled; Nepal Launch Soon

Citroen has officially unveiled the C3 sports crossover. The C3 is expected to go on sale in the Nepalese market by March 2022. The C3 is the first of three models under Citroen’s C-cubed program. According to the latest report, the C3 will be locally manufactured in India. The upcoming Citroen C3 has also been described by Citroen CEO Vincent Cobee as a “hatchback with a twist”. We have to wait for furthermore for the twist to be revealed. C Series models are the most basic Citroen C3s you can buy at an affordable price.

The Citroën C3 is based on the CMP modular platform. Citroen C3 is expected to offer the C3 with two engines including 1.2-liter petrol naturally aspirated and a 1.2-liter turbo-petrol engine. While Citroen hasn't revealed the powertrain details yet. Transmission options will include a 5-speed manual and a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic. The C3 is 3,980mm long, sits on a 2,540mm wheelbase, and has a ground clearance of 180mm. We also expect an ABS option to be made available on C3 with all discs. 

The Citroen C3 will come with four color options Polar White, Platinum Grey, Steel Grey, and Zesty Orange. Dual-tone color options include two roof colors: Platinum Grey or Zesty Orange. The feature list is yet to be finalized. We expect the C3 will feature such as a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, steering-mounted controls, three USB sockets, a 12V socket, and a smartphone clamp. The C3 is also likely to get dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, and rear parking sensors.

According to the company, the Citroën C3 will be produced at the Thiruvallur plant in Chennai. The C3 will go on sale by the first half of 2022 in the Nepalese market. The price announcement of the C3 will take by January 2022. Once launched in Nepal,  the Citroen C3 is expected to rival the Nissan Magnite, Renault Kiger, upcoming Tata Punch, Maruti Baleno, Swift, Ignis, Kia Sonet, Mahindra XUV300, Hyundai Venue, and Hyundai Grand i10 Nios.
