Skoda Slavia is gearing up for an official launch in the Nepalese market in early March. The Skoda Slavia in Nepal is set to be reached in March ahead of its launch and its test drives are scheduled to begin immediately. Unveiled back in November 2021,  the new Skoda Slavia will be the third model under Skoda-VW’s India 2.0 project that started with the Kushaq and Taigun SUVs. The Czech brand's second product for the Nepalese market this year will be a midsize sedan Slavia that will replace the Rapid sedan.

The Skoda Slavia will be powered by the 1.0-liter and 1.5-litre TSI petrol engines similar to the Kushaq SUV. The 1.0-liter is equipped with a three-cylinder unit that generates 115hp and 175Nm of peak torque while the 1.5-liter is equipped with a four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine that generates 150hp and 250Nm of peak torque. Both engines come with a 6-speed manual gearbox. The engine also includes automatic gearbox options including a 6-speed torque converter for the 1.0-liter engine and a 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox (DSG) for the 1.5-liter engine.

The Slavia sedan looks similar to Skoda with a familiar design but includes new modern features. The Slavia features smart-looking LED headlamps and tail lamps, the signature butterfly grille, fog lights, multi-spoke alloy wheels, wrap-around LED taillights, a shark-fin antenna, and a boot-mounted number plate holder. The Slavia will be the widest sedan in its class including 16-inch dual-tone alloy wheels. The Slavia comes with a Crystal Blue shade including a wide muscular stance.

Skoda Slavia will come with a 10-inch touchscreen, fully digital instrument cluster that is equipped with a wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and MySkoda connected car tech. It also gets automatic AC, rear AC vents, leather upholstery, ventilated front seats, an electric sunroof, wireless charger, automatic climate control, cruise control, keyless entry, and an auto-dimming internal rear-view mirror. Safety feature includes six airbags, ESC, an electronic differential system (EDS), a tire pressure monitor, hill-hold control (optional), and a rear parking camera.

Skoda will offer the sedan in three trims: Active, Ambition, and Style.  Skoda had previously revealed Slavia's price but the new price will be released by March 2022. The Skoda Slavia price in Nepal is expected around Nrs. 50 to 60 Lakhs. Once launched in Nepal, Skoda Slavia will rival the likes of Honda City, Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, and Hyundai Verna.
