NIU, the renowned electric scooter manufacturer, is set to launch its groundbreaking electric bike, the NIU RQi in Nepal. Eco Infinity, the authorized distributor of NIU electric bikes and scooters in Nepal, is gearing up to introduce the highly anticipated NIU RQi electric bike to the Nepalese market by mid-2024. NIU Nepal has made an official announcement on its Facebook page regarding the imminent release of the NIU RQi electric bike. This electric bike comes with cutting-edge technology, an eco-friendly design, a powerful motor and a dual battery.

NIU RQi is powered by an in-house 7500W NIU electric motor that generates a max power of 10.19 PS and a max torque of 450 Nm. It is also equipped with a 72V36AH dual lithium Ion battery giving a total output of 5.184 kWh. The NIU RQi can achieve a full charge in approximately 4 hours with a single battery and around 7 hours with a dual battery setup. This charging capability contributes to its impressive range of 95-105 kilometres on a single charge. The batteries utilize NIU's fourth-generation energy smart power technology. 

Crafted with meticulous attention to detail, the NIU RQi boasts a sleek and futuristic design. The bike is equipped with a circular Daytime Running Light (DRL) alongside an LED headlamp, sleek indicators, and an LED taillamp. At the rear, it features a split mudguard. It includes a camera positioned above the front headlamp and another camera situated just above the rear taillamp. Both the front and rear cameras come with collision detection and automatic recording capabilities. It also has connectivity features, including a smart dashboard and mobile app integration. 

Moreover, the NIU RQi provides numerous safety enhancements. In terms of safety, it comes equipped with ABS featuring dual discs and TCS for enhanced stability. Additionally, it incorporates Brembo brake calipers and pirelli tires, ensuring precise control and handling on the road. Both front and rear features a combined braking system. The RQi features dual forks at the front and a mono-shock at the rear to handle suspension tasks. At present, the specific count of riding modes available for the NIU RQi electric bike has not been disclosed.

The NIU RQi boasts dimensions measuring 2080 mm in length, 835 mm in width, and 1108 mm in height, with a wheelbase spanning 1455 mm. It offers a ground clearance of 167 mm with a kerb weight of 135 Kg. It accelerates from 0 to 50 km/h in a mere 2.9 seconds. The RQi boasts alloy wheels and is equipped with a 110/70-R17 tire at the front and a 140/70-R17 tire at the rear. The NIU Battery Management System (BMS) comes with four sets of sensors designed to detect temperature, voltage, current, and insulation.

The NIU RQi price in Nepal is yet to be confirmed. The anticipated price is expected to hover around or exceed the NRs. 10 Lakhs mark. The NIU RQi electric bike features a dual-tone color scheme and offers a variety of stylish options. Riders can choose from four distinct colors: Green, Blue, Red, and Brushed Silver. The NIU RQi is poised to compete with the Evoke Urban Classic, presenting a formidable rival in the electric bike market. With its eco-friendly design, cutting-edge technology, and unmatched performance, the RQi is more than just a mode of transportation - it's a symbol of progress.
