Honda Shine 100 Officially Launched: Nepal Launch Soon

Honda has officially launched its most affordable bike, the Shine 100. Honda is also set to launch its latest motorcycle the Shine 100 in Nepal in the upcoming days and will feature a brand new 100 cc engine. The Shine 125 has been the most successful 125 cc bike in Nepal. This new bike will now be the most affordable Honda bike in Nepal. Syakar Trading, the authorized distributor of Honda Bikes in Nepal, is still yet to announce the launch date and price of the Shine 100. Honda Shine 100 is a motorcycle that is designed for the modern commuter who values efficiency, reliability, and affordability. It is available only in one variant. 


The new motorcycle, the Shine 100 features a new 100 cc engine. It is powered by an all-new air-cooled, 99.7cc, single-cylinder engine that generates a maximum power of 7.6 at 7,500 rpm and a peak torque of 8.05 Nm at 6,000 rpm. The engine is mated to a 4-speed manual gearbox that provides smooth and precise gear shifts. According to the company, the Shine 100's engine is equipped with an OBD-2 and E20 fuel-compliant that has been optimised to deliver higher fuel efficiency. The new bike feature basic mechanical components that include a telescopic fork up front, twin shock absorbers at the rear, standard drum brakes, and an optional disc brake with CBS. 


The Honda Shine 100 comes with a stylish design that appeals to the modern commuter. It is equipped with a halogen headlight, tell-tale lights, analogue dual-pod instrument console that displays important information such as speed, fuel level, and trip meter. It also includes a side-stand engine cut-off function, a comfortable seat, an automatic choke system and a fuel pump located outside for easier maintenance. The bike also features a pass switch, which allows the rider to signal other vehicles while overtaking. In terms of safety, the bike is equipped with drum brakes at the front and rear.


The new Honda Shine 100 gets a long seat of 677 mm and a seat height of 786 mm. The bike has a wheelbase of 1245 mm and a ground clearance of 162 mm, which is sufficient for most Nepalese roads. The bike also has tubeless tires, which provide a better grip and reduce the chances of a puncture. It also gets 17-inch alloy wheels with MRF tyres. The bike has a sturdy frame and is built to last for several years with proper maintenance. Just like with other Honda products, the Shine 100 also gets a piston-cooling oil jet, and offset piston.


The all-new Honda Shine 100 price in Nepal is expected to be around NRs. 2.20 lakhs. The Shine 100 will be launched at an attractive price point in Nepal to rival the Hero Splendor. It will be available in five colour options – a black base with red, blue, green, gold and grey stripes. Bookings for the new Shine 100 are set to open in mid-2023 and the deliveries are scheduled to begin shortly once booking opens. Honda is also offering a special 6-year warranty package (3 years standard + 3 years optional extended warranty) on Shine 100. It is a perfect bike for people who are looking for an affordable and reliable mode of transportation.
