Maruti has teased the facelifted Swift on its website, hinting at the imminent launch of the hatchback in the Nepalese market. Its sub-4m sedan is said to be launched in the Nepalese market by next month. Maruti is offering the updated model with a slightly more powerful petrol engine as well. 2021 Swift facelift also comes with a host of upgrades including cosmetic tweaks, new safety features as well as a new engine. The current-generation version was introduced in the country in 2018. 

The new Swift should command a slight premium over the pre-facelift model, which retails anywhere between NRs 30 lakhs and NRs 35 lakhs. Once launched in Nepal, the Maruti Swift facelift will compete in the market with the likes of Hyundai Grand i10 Nios, Tata Tiago, Ford Figo, and Renault Triber.
