Tata Motors has officially unveiled its latest marvel, the Tata Curvv EV. Tata Motors India has unveiled its highly anticipated fifth all-electric vehicle, the Curvv EV. This innovative EV is slated to debut in Nepal soon. However, Tata Motors Nepal has yet to announce a specific launch date or provide further details about the upcoming EV in Nepal. With a sleek design, cutting-edge technology, and a promise of sustainable mobility, the Tata Curvv EV is set to make waves in the Nepalese automotive landscape.
The Tata Curvv EV comes in five variants: Creative, Accomplished, Accomplished+ S, Empowered+, and Empowered+ A. However, it remains to be seen which of these variants will be available in the Nepalese market. This EV gets two battery pack options: a 45kWh unit for the Creative, Accomplished and Accomplished+ S variants, and a 55kWh one for the Accomplished, Accomplished+ S, Empowered+, and Empowered+ A variants. The 45kWh battery pack delivers an MIDC range of 502 km, whereas the 55kWh pack extends the range to 585 km on a single charge.
The 55kWh variants are equipped with a 167hp electric motor mounted on the front axle, while the 45kWh versions feature a 150hp motor. Both configurations produce 215Nm of torque. According to Tata, the battery can gain up to 150 km of range in just 15 minutes and can charge from 10% to 80% in 40 minutes when using a 70kW charger. The Curvv EV 55 accelerates from 0-100 km/h in a reported 8.6 seconds and achieves a top speed of 160 km/h, while the 45kWh model has a claimed 0-100 km/h time of 9 seconds.
The Tata Curvv EV epitomizes the future of electric mobility with its striking aesthetics and advanced features. It features a unique white and grey dual-tone colour scheme, contrasting with its red and grey exterior finish. The dashboard, similar to the Nexon's, includes a 12.3-inch floating infotainment touchscreen at the centre. The top-spec models will have a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster with navigation. Below the infotainment unit, there's a touch-based climate control panel and trapezoidal AC vents. This EV is equipped with all-LED lighting.
In terms of Safety features it is equipped with six airbags, an electronic parking brake with auto hold, hill-start and descent assist, ESP, a driver drowsiness alert system, a blind spot monitor, and Level 2 ADAS capabilities. Additionally, the Curvv EV has a sound alert system that activates at speeds up to 20 km/h to warn pedestrians. Additional features include leatherette seats, ventilated six-way adjustable front seats, a cooled glove box, Type-C charging ports, connected car tech, a panoramic sunroof, a gesture-controlled powered tailgate, and a 320W JBL sound system in top versions.
The Tata Curvv EV price in Nepal will be announced at the time of its launch. As for the competition the Curvv EV takes on the MG ZS EV directly. Tata has also launched a range of official accessories named Tata. ev Originals, allowing buyers to personalize both the exterior and interior of the Curvv EV.
