BMW has officially launched the BS6-compliant R nineT and the R nineT Scrambler across the certain Asian market including Thailand and India. There is no news regarding the launch of BMW R nineT and R nineT Scrambler in the Nepalese market for now but we expect the bike to be launched here by mid-2021. Both the motorcycles come with BS6-compliant 1,170cc boxer-twin engine, along with several cosmetic updates compared to the old model. With the launch, the company looks to increase its base in the country’s motorcycle market.
The biggest update in the new R nineT is the BS6-compliant engine. Both the bikes are powered by the same 1,170cc air/oil-cooled boxer-twin engine and also it now gets a new cylinder head for cleaner and more efficient combustion. The result of meeting new emission norms is, with the engine producing 109hp at 7,250rpm and 116Nm of torque at 6,000rpm. Power transmission duties are carried out by a six-speed gearbox. The new internals engine also gets new cylinder head covers that look aesthetically attractive.
