TVS Apache RTR 160 4V Special Edition Launched in Nepal: Here's All You Need to Know

TVS Motor Company has officially launched the TVS Apache RTR 160 4V Special Edition in Nepal. Jagdamba Motors, the authorized distributor of TVS Motors in Nepal, has introduced the latest variant of the Apache 160 4V in the Nepalese market recently. The latest iteration of the Apache RTR 160 4V FI includes improvements in both its appearance and mechanical components with numerous cutting-edge features. It is also equipped with a BS6-compliant RT-FI Engine.   This powerhouse on two wheels is also set to redefine the biking experience in Nepal, combining style, performance, and innovation like never before.


At the core of this special edition, Apache RTR 160 4V lies a potent engine that promises an adrenaline-pumping ride. It is powered by a 159.7cc, BS6 engine, single-cylinder, 4-valve, oil-cooled, SOHC, FI engine that can generate a max power of 17.55PS at 9250rpm and a max torque of 14.73Nm at 7250rpm. This engine is mated to a 5-speed gearbox. The Special Edition introduces a range of new features, including the availability of three unique riding modes: Urban, Sport, and Rain. When operating in Urban and Rain modes, the top speed is limited to 103 kmph, whereas in Sport mode, it enables you to reach a maximum speed of 114 kmph. 


The Apache RTR 160 4V Special Edition comes with a range of safety features to ensure a secure ride. The braking system is handled by a 270mm petal disc for the front wheel and a 200mm petal disc for the rear wheel. Additionally, it features a single-channel ABS for enhanced safety. The bike maintains its existing suspension configuration, including telescopic forks in the front and a mono-shock in the rear. Featuring a 12-litre fuel tank, the TVS Apache RTR 160 4V Special Edition boasts an estimated fuel efficiency of approximately 40 to 45 kilometres per litre. It is constructed using a Double Cradle Split Synchro Stiff Frame. 


The TVS Apache RTR 160 4V Special Edition comes equipped with advanced features that enhance both the riding experience and connectivity. It features an updated LED headlamp with a new LED Daytime Running Lamp. The bike maintains its single-piece seat and a distinctive split-style grab rail. The bike features a fully digital instrument cluster with information like lap timer, 0-60 timer, and top speed recorder and top speed recorder. Derived from the "Draken" concept, it features a robust fuel tank, bold tank shrouds, an unconventional fuel tank placement, and a dual-barrel exhaust system. TVS also offers the SmartXonnect Bluetooth connectivity feature to enhance convenience for riders. 


The latest iteration of the TVS Apache RTR 160 4V Special Edition boasts dimensions of 2035mm in length, 790mm in width, and 1050mm in height. Additionally, it features a wheelbase measuring 1357mm. The motorcycle offers a ground clearance of 180mm, providing ample space for versatile riding conditions. Notably, the kerb weight is registered at 146kg. The front wheel of the TVS Apache is equipped with a 90/90-17 tire and features a disc brake. On the other hand, the rear wheel is fitted with a 130/70-R17 tire and also comes with a disc brake, with the option to choose a drum brake instead. It boasts a fuel efficiency of approximately 35-40 kilometres per litre.


TVS Apache RTR 160 4V Special Edition price in Nepal is NRs. 3.74 Lakhs. With the introduction of the new variant, the TVS Apache RTR 160 4V now falls within the price range of NRs. 2.90 Lakhs to NRs. 3.96 Lakhs. It is available in various iterations spanning both BS4 and BS6 models. It's available in a trio of striking colour choices: Racing Red, Racing Blue, and Racing Black. It will compete against the likes of Bajaj Pulsar NS160, Honda CB Hornet 160R, and Suzuki Gixxer 155 in the Nepalese market. With its powerful performance, striking design, advanced features, and enhanced safety, this limited-edition motorcycle is set to redefine the riding experience in Nepal.
