The Japanese manufacturer Suzuki is likely to launch GSX-S125 in Nepal. The bike was unveiled at the EICMA motorcycle show this year. The bike is based on its popular sibling, the GSX-R125 and both models share many of the same features. At present, the 125cc segment in Nepal is populated by commuter motorcycles.
In terms of styling, the Suzuki GSX-S125 would be a distinctively designed bike. The bike will look highly futuristic with its sharp styling, vertically stacked LED headlight, side panels, lower engine cowl and sculpted fuel tank. The bike will come with optimal torsional rigidity lightweight chassis and will also feature twin exhaust mufflers. The overall design of the bike is sharp and edgy and it is sure to get looked at too.
Talking about the dimensions, Suzuki GSX-S125 measures 2020mm in length, 745mm in width and has a maximum height of 1040mm. The wheelbase is 1300mm, while the ground clearance is 155mm. The seat height of the bike will be 785mm. The bike will weigh 133 kg and comes with an 11-litre fuel tank. The bike will run on 17-inch cast aluminium wheels which will come shod with the 90/80-profile tyre up front and a meaty 130/70 tyre at the rear.
The Suzuki GSX-S125 just seems right in most real-world situations. It will lightweight linear power delivery and boasts of a strong mid-range making it ideal for long rides. Its compact chassis enables agile handling and up front-great maneuverability in traffic. The acceleration of this bike is instant, with in-gear times being quick. The bike weighs in at only 133 kgs, giving it a pleasant power to weight ratio as well.
The bike will come with telescopic coil spring, oil damped suspension in front, while the rear will get link type, coil spring oil damped suspension. Both the suspensions will do a great job at maintaining a balance between comfort and composure. The bike is expected to deliver a mileage of around 40-45 kmpl.
The new Suzuki GSX-S125 will draw power from a 124 cc, 4-stroke, liquid cooled, DOHC single-cylinder, fuel-injected engine which produces peak power of 15 bhp of peak torque of 11.5 Nm. The engine will be mated to a six-speed gearbox. The bike will also feature an advanced electronic fuel injection system. Braking will be handled by 290 mm petal-design single disc with dual-piston calipers on the front and 187 mm petal-design disc with a single-piston six-speed on the rear wheel. The brakes will be further aided by a two-channel ABS lightweight.
